Abstract: An integrated low-carbon energy system includes a controller configured to control an amount of H2 gas added to pipe-based delivery system that carries mixture of a fossil fuel in gaseous form with the H2 gas as a minority component by volume, an H2-compatible fuel cell that converts the mixed gas into electricity, a data interface that receives an H2 allocation request signal on behalf of a facility that receives electricity produced by the H2-compatible fuel cell, wherein in response to the H2 allocation request signal, the controller is configured to control a change an addition rate of H2 from a first level to a second level that corresponds with a level requested in the request signal.

Abstract: An energy system with hydration of magnesium hydride, including: a magnesium hydride storage tank, a Covapor unit, a storage battery, a hydrogen buffer and temperature regulation tank, a meter, a molecular sieve filter, a hydrogen fuel cell, an exhaust gas purifier, a water tank, and an air purifier. A water outlet of the hydrogen fuel cell is connected to a water inlet of the magnesium hydride storage tank. A hydrogen outlet of the magnesium hydride storage tank is connected to a hydrogen inlet of the hydrogen fuel cell. A thermal conductive medium outlet of the magnesium hydride storage tank is connected to a jacket of the molecular sieve filter and the Covapor unit, respectively, and a jacket outlet of the molecular sieve filter and an outlet of the Covapor unit are respectively connected to a thermal conductive medium inlet of the magnesium hydride storage tank.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for an integrated air filter assembly for a multiple fuel cell powertrain. The integrated air filter assembly can include a common inlet to pull air from a single plenum of the hood, where the intake path can be split into multiple ducts providing air flow into each respective fuel cell. Each duct can include a dedicated air filter to filter the incoming air. The assembly can also include flexible seal to adapt to the unique hood/plenum shape of different OEM plenums/intakes.

Abstract: An operation method is provided for a hydrogen production apparatus that is disposed in a hydrogen station and produces hydrogen gas to be supplied to a fuel cell vehicle (FCV) arriving at the hydrogen station. The operation method includes starting up a hydrogen production apparatus up to a first operation load ratio preset for a rated operation. The operation method includes increasing an operation load of the hydrogen production apparatus to a second operation load ratio, which is larger than the first operation load ratio, at first timing associated with an arrival of the FCV, and decreasing the operation load of the hydrogen production apparatus to a third operation load ratio, which is smaller than the second operation load ratio, at second timing associated with a completion of hydrogen filling into the FCV.

Abstract: Hydrogen-producing fuel cell systems and methods of operating the same. The methods include initiating supply of a stored hydrogen stream, which includes stored hydrogen gas, to a fuel cell stack. Prior to the initiating, the stored hydrogen gas is stored in a low-pressure hydrogen storage tank at a hydrogen storage pressure. The methods also include generating an electrical power output from the stored hydrogen gas with the fuel cell stack. The methods further include, during a supply time interval that is subsequent to the initiating, monitoring a hydrogen supply variable that is indicative of flow of the stored hydrogen stream to the fuel cell stack. The methods also include detecting a change in the hydrogen supply variable and responding to the detecting. The systems include a controller that is programmed to perform the methods.
