Abstract: A power supply system includes multiple power converters, each having an input and an output. The outputs of the power converters are connected together in parallel to produce a single system output. There is a shared command bus that is coupled to each one of the power converters. A control loop in (associated with) a designated one of the power converters is operable to generate a current command signal to be output onto the shared command bus. All of the parallel connected power converters in the power supply system are configured to receive the current command signal from the shared command bus and to adjust an amount of electrical current being supplied by that power converter in response to the current command signal.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a sealed high intensity illumination device configured to receive a laser beam from a laser light source. A sealed chamber is configured to contain an ionizable medium. The chamber includes a reflective chamber interior surface having a first parabolic contour and parabolic focal region, a second parabolic contour and parabolic focal region, and an interface surface. An ingress surface is disposed within the interface surface configured to admit the laser beam into the chamber, and an egress surface disposed within the interface surface configured to emit high intensity light from the chamber. The first parabolic contour is configured to reflect light from the first parabolic focal region to the second parabolic contour, and the second parabolic contour is configured to reflect light from the first parabolic contour to the second parabolic focal region.

Abstract: An ignition facilitated electrodeless sealed high intensity illumination device is configured to receive a laser beam from a continuous wave (CW) laser light source. A sealed chamber is configured to contain an ionizable medium. The chamber has an ingress window disposed within a wall of a chamber interior surface configured to admit the laser beam into the chamber, a plasma sustaining region, and a high intensity light egress window configured to emit high intensity light from the chamber. The CW laser beam is producible by a CW laser below 250 Watts configured to produce a wavelength below 1100 nm. The device is configured to focus the laser beam to a full width at half maximum (FWHM) beam waist of 1-15 microns2 and a Rayleigh length of 6 microns or less, and the plasma is configured to be ignited by the CW laser beam.

Abstract: An integrated barrel/bridge detonator subassembly includes a polyimide flyer layer, a conducting layer, and a barrel layer. The conducting layer has an electrically conducting material laminated to a first side of the flyer layer. The conducting layer consists of a single layer of an electrically conducting material. The electrically conducting material forms a first land having a first connecting pad, a second land having a second connecting pad disposed opposite the first land, and a bridge disposed between and providing electrical conductivity between the first land and the second land. A barrel layer formed of an insulative material is laminated to a second side of the flyer layer substantially opposite the first side. Abstract: An ignition facilitated electrodeless sealed high intensity illumination device is disclosed. The light mixing rod is positioned to pass through an aperture in a concave second reflecting element, and mixed light emerges from the egress end of the light mixing rod, where it is directed toward a first reflecting element positioned near a focal point of the second reflecting element. The first reflecting element reflects mixed light emerging from the egress end of the light mixing rod, folding the mixed light back toward a concave reflecting surface of the second reflecting element. The second reflecting element reflects light from the first reflecting element forward, where the light emerges from the lamp directed toward a subject to be illuminated.
