Abstract: A mix chamber for a plural component sprayer is configured to receive first and second component materials and emit a spray of a resulting plural component material. The mix chamber includes a chamber body extending between a first end and a second end and including flat lateral sides. A ramp feature is disposed proximate the first end and is configured to contact and push first and second side seals, respectively, away from a body axis as the mix chamber shifts in a first direction through a cartridge bore to increase a gap between the first side seal and the second side seal such that the first side seal engages the first flat lateral side and the second side seal engages the second flat lateral side.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for dispensing a of fluidic sample to each of a plurality of targets are disclosed. An example apparatus for dispensing a fluidic sample includes an inlet port to input a sample material, and a first sample nozzle and a second sample nozzle fluidically coupled to the inlet port to expel the sample material, wherein a tubular junction fluidically couples the inlet port to a first tubular fluid path that terminates in the first sample nozzle and to a second tubular fluid path that terminates in the second sample nozzle, wherein a cross-sectional area of the tubular junction is less than an average cross-sectional area of the first tubular fluid path and the second tubular fluid path, and wherein the cross-sectional area of the tubular junction is selected to draw the sample material from the inlet port into the tubular junction via capillary action.

Abstract: A variety of dispensing manifolds which are removable connectable to a single deformable container having a single exit portion are disclosed. The dispensing manifolds of the present disclosure provide a single deformable container having a single exit with one or more outlets from which a fluid can be controllably dispensed. The present disclosure also provides a single force generation mechanism, a deformable container holding a fluid or substance, and dispensing mechanisms all on one machine, i.e., a carrier; a system that may also include a pressurized air source that assists a flow of a fluid; and a system that allows for a continuous flow a substance. The systems of the present disclosure provide a deformable container and a method of dispensing wherein, during dispensing, an actuation member is continuously free of contact with the fluid or substance within the container and the actuation member only contacts the exterior surface of the deformable container.

Abstract: An atomizing spray device includes a housing having plural inlets and one or more outlets fluidly coupled with each other by an interior chamber. The inlets include a first inlet shaped to receive a first fluid and a second inlet shaped to receive a slurry of ceramic particles and a second fluid. The interior chamber in the housing is shaped to mix the first fluid received via the first inlet with the slurry received via the second inlet inside the housing to form a mixture in a location between the inlets and the one or more outlets. The interior chamber in the housing also is shaped to direct the mixture formed inside the housing as droplets outside of the housing via the one or more outlets such that, based on a discharged amount of the first fluid in the droplets, the first fluid promotes evaporation of the second fluid as the droplets traverse from the housing toward a surface of a component.

Abstract: An additive manufacturing (AM) system includes a housing defining a chamber, a build platform disposed within the chamber, and an upper gas inlet configured to supply an upper gas flow in a first direction parallel to the build platform. The AM system includes a lower gas inlet disposed in the chamber and configured to supply a lower gas flow in a second direction toward a bottom wall of the chamber, and a flow directing system configured to receive the lower gas flow and redirect the lower gas flow in the first direction parallel to the build platform. The AM system includes one or more gas delivery devices fluidly coupled to the upper and lower gas inlets and configured to regulate one or more flow characteristics of the upper and lower gas flows and a gas outlet configured to discharge the upper and lower gas flows from the chamber.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus includes a gas supply line and a cleaning liquid supply line. A nozzle is connected to the gas and the cleaning liquid supply lines. The nozzle applies the cleaning liquid to a substrate. A gas entrance port at a top of a body of the nozzle is connected to the gas supply line. A first cleaning liquid entrance port is disposed on a sidewall of the nozzle body and is connected to the cleaning liquid supply line. A fluid injection port is disposed at a bottom of the nozzle body and discharges both the gas and the cleaning liquid. An internal passage of the nozzle body connects each of the gas entrance port and the first cleaning liquid entrance port to the fluid injection port. The fluid injection port has a diameter that is greater than a diameter of the first cleaning liquid entrance port.

A second nozzle of the multiple-nozzle tool is effective to provide a greater material coverage application than the first nozzle. The second nozzle may be implemented to apply the material at an interior area from the edge at which the first nozzle applies the material, in an exemplary aspect.

Abstract: A dual media spray nozzle assembly for cleaning an optical viewer or sensor lens is disclosed. The assembly includes two media pathways that terminate in two arrays at the target cleaning area. The nozzle arrays are coplanar. The two media may be activated sequentially or simultaneously. The assembly includes a cover, a spray element, and a media inlet body. The nozzles are formed in a curved, semi-annular opening of the spray element. The spray element includes front and back sides. Formed on the front side is a first media flow path associated with a first media inlet formed on the media inlet body. The first media flow path is associated with the first array of nozzles. Formed on the back side is a second media flow path associated with second media inlets formed on the media inlet body. The second media path is associated with the second array of nozzles.

Abstract: A spray head for atomising fluid ejected from a fluid conduit, the spray head comprising: a body having a longitudinal bore for receiving the fluid conduit such that a distal tip of the fluid conduit extends to a distal end of the longitudinal bore, the body being configured to direct a balanced flow of gaseous medium over the distal tip of the fluid conduit, when received within the longitudinal bore, so as to promote atomisation of the fluid as it is ejected from the distal tip of the fluid conduit, wherein the body comprises at least two radially separable segments, each of which defines part of the longitudinal bore, said at least two segments when combined forming said body having a longitudinal bore, whereby the fluid conduit is received within the longitudinal bore by locating said at least two segments around the fluid conduit.
