    Abstract: A coating assembly for coating a plurality of substrates. The coating assembly includes a chamber. At least one target is disposed in the chamber and includes a coating material. At least one power supply is connected to the target. At least one support fixture is disposed in the chamber. The at least one support fixture includes a base having a plurality of recesses formed in an upper surface of the base. A first mounting component has a plurality of slots. The first mounting component is positioned on the upper surface of the base wherein at least some of the plurality of recesses are in registry with corresponding ones of the plurality of slots to define a plurality of cavities, each of the plurality of cavities configured to hold at least one of the plurality of substrates to be coated.

    Abstract: An apparatus for coating or mixing of loose items is provided. The apparatus includes a rotatable bowl shaped to contain a quantity of loose items for coating or mixing as the bowl is rotated. The rotatable bowl includes a plurality of discharge openings. A drive shaft is configured to rotatably support the bowl. A closure ring is positioned to close the discharge openings. The closure ring is retractable while the rotatable bowl is rotating to allow coated or mixed items to fall through the openings to unload the coated items from the rotatable bowl after coating/mixing is complete.

    Abstract: A preform coating device is provided with: a conveyance part that conveys a preform; a dispenser that discharges a coating liquid toward the preform; a drier that is disposed along the conveyance route of the conveyance part so as to be separated from the dispenser, and that dries the coating liquid applied to the preform by irradiating, with infrared rays, the coating liquid applied to the preform; and a first air sending mechanism that sends air, toward the preform, for inhibiting the temperature of the preform from rising at the position where the preform is irradiated with infrared rays by the drier.

    Abstract: A coating frame, a coating system, and methods of coating a component using one or more coating frames are disclosed. The coating frame includes a frame member and at least one bracket coupled to the frame member. The bracket includes at least one hanger attachment point extending into a hollow interior of the at least one bracket. The at least one bracket isolates the at least one hanger attachment point from a coating material when the coating frame is used in a coating process. The method includes suspending a component from the coating frame, conveying the coating frame and the component to a coating applicator, and applying a coating material to the coating frame and the component while isolating the at least one hanger attachment point from the coating material via an air pocket formed within the at least one bracket.

    Abstract: A garment printing machine is provided with a transportable platen that can be utilized to significantly decrease the delay in printing expended in loading and unloading a garment for printing in either a digitized garment printing machine or a screen garment printing machine. The platen is provided with structure that holds a print receiving area of a garment firmly in position atop a print panel support plate that forms a part of the platen. Furthermore, the invention includes a platen support structure that cooperates with the conventional couplings on existing conventional garment printing machines. A plurality of transportable platens constructed according to the invention are utilized interchangeably so that while one garment loaded on one of the platens is being printed upon in the printing machine, the prior garment just printed upon is unloaded and the next garment to be printed is loaded onto another identical platen. This totally avoids any delay in printing due to loading and unloading of garments on the platens.

    Abstract: A system and method for rotating an egg-shaped object for decoration. The system uses a machine with an access opening. An open area exists within the interior of the housing between the access opening and a bottom surface. A support cradle is disposed within the interior. The support cradle has a first plurality of wheels that extend into the open area from a first direction and a second plurality of wheels that extend into the open area from a second direction. A gap space exists between the first plurality of wheels and the second plurality of wheels. The first plurality of wheels, the second plurality of wheels and the gap space form a cradle that receive and rotate an egg-shaped object. When in this cradle, at least half of the egg-shaped object is elevated above the top surface of the housing, where it can be easily decorated.
