Abstract: Methods and processes for applying powder coat faux finishes, and power coat materials associated with such methods and processes are provided. Processes employ one or more partial powder coat layers along with physical texturing techniques to provide a variety of powder coated faux finish effects. Methods may utilize standard powder coating formulations in contrasting combinations to form suitable faux finishes. Faux finishing techniques using powder coating procedures may reproduce effects previously only obtainable with wet techniques, such as, for example, sponging, color washing, rag rolling, marbleizing, faux granite, strié, antiquing, verdigris, wood graining, weathered patina, etc. Kits of materials, including powder coating materials and physical texturing equipment suitable to reproduce such faux finishes are also provided.

Abstract: A substrate treating apparatus for treating substrates includes a plurality of substrate treatment lines arranged vertically for carrying out plural types of treatment on the substrates while transporting the substrates substantially horizontally, and a controller for changing processes of treatment carried out on the substrates for each of the substrate treatment lines. By changing the processes of treatment carried out for the substrates for each substrate treatment line, the processes of treatment carried out for the substrates can be changed for each substrate conveniently. Thus, a plurality of different processes of treatment corresponding to the number of substrate treatment lines can be carried out in parallel for the respective substrates.

The method including pre-injection of compressed gas into the conductor strands of the cable at a pressure less than the elastic limit of the cable insulation, and injection of a rejuvenation fluid into the conductor strands of the cable at a pressure less than the elastic limit of the cable insulation.

Abstract: Applicant discloses a two part polymer mix for use in the aircraft industry that is applied with pneumatic mix and spray gun. A two part cartridge is used in the mix and spray gun so the mix is applied immediately upon mixing, but the two components are kept separated unless the gun is applying the mix. The mix cures to form a clear sealant that allows for inspection of cracks and corrosion beneath the sealant. It cures quickly so that the coated part may be further processed, for example in the assembly line during aircraft build.

Abstract: A method of coating a substrate with a white molecular coating. A colloidal based primer is prepared having on a mass basis between 30-40% suspensions of fine-sized spherical particles of nonporous silica dispersed in liquid phase. The primer is applied to the substrate and allowed to dry. A molecular adsorber coating is prepared by treating a zeolite with a colloidal silica binder thereby providing a treated pigment having a mass ratio of the colloidal silica to the zeolite is in a range of 2.0 to 2.6, then processing the treated pigment into a powder thereby facilitating sprayability and then mixing said treated zeolite with a colloidal solution containing silica. The coating is then sprayed onto the primer and allowed to dry. The resultant coating provides adequate bond stability and strength necessary for flight applications within an environment for vacuum of space applications.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method comprising as method steps: a) providing a sheetlike composite precursor comprising a carrier layer; b) overlaying the sheetlike composite precursor on an outer face of the sheetlike composite precursor with a liquid first polymer composition; c) hardening the liquid first polymer composition, thereby obtaining a first polymer layer; and d) overlaying the sheetlike composite precursor on the outer face of the sheetlike composite precursor with a liquid second polymer composition; wherein the first polymer layer in method step d) comprises an isocyanate content in a range from 0.1% to 50% by weight, based on the weight of the first polymer layer. The invention further relates to a sheetlike composite obtainable by the method; a container precursor and a closed container, each comprising the sheetlike composite; and to uses of a liquid primer and the sheetlike composite.

The air flow is directed onto the wet film in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction to reorient a direction of some conductive nanostructures in the wet film to define reoriented conductive nanostructures.
