Abstract:
Provided is a bioimplant which is capable to inhibit the biofilm formation over a long period of time after an operation. The bioimplant of the present invention comprises a base material of metal, ceramic, or plastic and a thermal spraying film of a calcium phosphate-based material formed at least partially thereon and the silver concentration in the thermal-spray film is 0.05 wt % to 3.00 wt %.
Abstract:
A method for producing a fluoromethyl derivative represented by formula (1), the method including step A of reacting an alkene compound represented by formula (2) with a fluorine source represented by formula MFn, in the presence of a hypervalent-iodine aromatic compound (1a), or in the presence of an aromatic iodine compound (1b) and an oxidant (A) to fluorinate the alkene compound.
Abstract:
According to an aspect of a present inventive subject matter, a method for producing a crystalline film includes; gasifying a metal source containing a metal to turn the metal source into a metal-containing raw-material gas; supplying the metal-containing raw-material gas and an oxygen-containing raw-material gas into a reaction chamber onto a substrate including a buffer layer; and supplying a reactive gas into the reaction chamber onto the substrate to form a crystalline film on the substrate under a gas flow of the reactive gas.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a composition for preventing or improving fat deposition on the liver in spite of the alcohol intake history of a level that a liver disease is not caused. The inventors found that glutathione has an effect of preventing or improving fat deposition on the liver, which is not caused by alcohol, and completed the present invention. Among nonalcoholic fat diseases, the present invention is particularly effective in an early stage of the treatment or in a case where treatment for another disease is not performed.

Abstract:
There is provided a plasma generation device capable of suppressing arc discharge in which discharge is localized to cause a high temperature, and allowing atmospheric discharge plasma to be stably generated with a high generation efficiency in a low temperature at about a room temperature without being spatially biased. The plasma generation device arranged with a plurality of electrodes facing each other includes a discharge position control unit, which is arranged between each of the plurality of electrodes, and is formed by containing an inverse characteristic material composed of a fluid having polarizability and a property that dielectric constant decreases with an increase in temperature, in a container formed of a dielectric material, wherein the inverse characteristic material is spaced apart from each of the plurality of electrodes.
Abstract:
A device for manufacturing a support for fixing cells of the present invention is capable of easily manufacturing a support that has needle-like bodies arranged on a base. The manufacturing device 2 is provided with a base 10, a holder 4, an insertion guide 6 and an alignment mechanism. The base 10 is retained by a holder 4. The base 10 is provided with a plurality of openings 15, into which needle-like bodies 20 are inserted and fixed. An insertion guide 6 is provided next to the holder 4 and includes slots 12 for placing a plurality of needle-like bodies 20 generally parallel to each other. The insertion guide 6 is provided with a plurality of slots 12 for placing the needle-like bodies 20 at corresponding positions to the openings 15, so that the alignment mechanism moves the insertion guide 6 such that the feed openings 12a are positioned adjacent to the openings 15. After positioning the feed openings 12a adjacent to the openings 15, the needle-like bodies 20 are introduced into the openings 15, whereby the needle-like bodies 20 are implanted into the base 10 to form a support.
Abstract:
A system is provided for producing an educational material to students. The present systems has storing part for storing raw educational materials into a database, input part for inputting both student-related data and educational environment-related data and educational material producing unit for selecting at least one raw educational material from said database based on predetermined selecting criteria and said inputted both student-related data and educational environment-related data to produce an educational material from said selected at least one raw educational material.
Abstract:
A culture system that comprises: a support for stacking cell aggregates, said support being provided with needle-shaped parts that are arranged on a substrate like a kenzan (flower frog needles), in which the outermost needle-shaped parts on the substrate are arranged so that the distance from the needle-shaped parts to the outer edge of the substrate is shorter than the distance between adjacent needle-shaped parts; a culture tank for housing a culture unit in which cell aggregates are stacked on the support; a liquid culture medium container; and a plurality of liquid culture medium supply pipes that supply a liquid culture medium from the liquid culture medium container to the culture unit, wherein each of the plurality of liquid culture medium supply pipes is positioned between the needle-shaped part.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an inhibitor against the stem cells of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of CML having preventive effect on CML recurrence, a method of preventing CML recurrence, and a method of assessing the efficacy of treatment with a drug in a patient with CML, including a step of determining the expression level of latexin.
