Abstract:
An apparatus comprised of a plurality of engagement structures independently movable along a longitudinal axis to initially engage a mid-foot region of a foot is described. A center structure or a first set of engagement structures engage the foot in a mid-foot region, and one or more peripheral engagement structures engage the plantar surface in regions surrounding the mid-foot region independent from the structure(s) engaging the mid-foot region. Positional information about the engagement structures is obtained, and a surface map from the positional information is constructed, to determine a profile or contour for an orthotic device in which the foot is in a restored bone state.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a magnetic elastic hairdressing massage comb, which includes a circle of outer non-electric conductive adiabatic gears with a certain interval space arranged around a working face of the shell and a heat conductive comb body layer arranged at the inner of the non-electric conductive adiabatic gear circle, on which several lattice arrayed magnetic elastic moving gears are set. Said magnetic elastic moving gears are hollow heat conductive gears. A heat resistant magnetic body X is fixed in the bottom of the hollow heat conductive gear body. On the upside of X, a heat resistant magnetic body Y is arranged with X with like poles facing each other. The top of Y is connected to a small high-temperature resistant adiabatic column, which stretches out of the opening at the top of said hollow heat guide gears.
Abstract:
A mechanical adjustable exoskeleton is disclosed for use by a biped animal with impaired bone and muscle. The exoskeleton has a metallic structure that supports extensible and reducible brackets, patellas between brackets, electric conventional motors of the linear actuator type of 10 and 30 Kg, an insole is provided in the horizontal base back support, and a lower back support. An electric system that composes of a main microprocessor that operates through a communication to all system components. Magnetic sensors of angular and external position, are placed on each patella and include a magnet, a magnetic sensor and a base for the magnet sensor, force sensors on the insoles, and an accelerometer on the back support enable electronic control in real time.
Abstract:
A leg therapy apparatus is provided which enables the user to easily and comfortable engage the various muscles of the leg, providing the leg muscles with a therapeutic message which helps to loosen and relieve sore or damages muscles. The apparatus may also be used to assist in the removal of cellulite from areas of the leg. The apparatus is basically comprised of a frame structure means, a user engagement means, a coupling means, and an optional resistance means. The frame structure means has at least two main support members coupled together in such a manner that the leg of the user may be placed within, with the main support members surrounding a significant portion of the leg. The main support members are adjustably coupled together by the coupling means such that they may alternatively move away and towards one another, as the various leg muscles of the user are being engaged by the user engagement means. The optional resistance means may be used to provide motion resistance.

Abstract:
A body therapy apparatus is provided which enables the user to easily and comfortable engage the various muscles of the leg, providing the leg muscles with a therapeutic message and assisting with the removal of cellulite from affected areas of the leg. The apparatus is basically comprised of a frame structure means, a user engagement means, a coupling means, and an optional resistance means. The main support members are adjustably coupled together by the coupling means such that they may alternatively move away and towards one another, as the various leg muscles of the user are being engaged by the user engagement means, which mount along the inside of the support members. The optional resistance means may be used to provide motion resistance.
Abstract:
A device for treating pain. In some embodiments, the device includes a housing, the housing having a proximal end, a distal end defining a volume therebetween, the housing further including a first surface and a second surface; a driver member disposed within the volume of the housing; an energy source disposed within the volume of the housing; and an electronic module disposed within the volume of the housing, wherein the electronics module is coupled to the driver member and the energy source. The invention also includes methods of using the device to treat a subject.
Abstract:
The present invention disclosed a method of performing Soojichim acupuncture on oneself using a copy of the person's body. The method includes: making an instantaneous molding of any one of hand and foot of the person requiring Soojichim acupuncture; forming a copy of the body on the basis of the instantaneous molding; marking an acupoint location and a reference point on the body copy; drilling a hole into the marked acupoint location on the body copy; attaching the body copy based on the marked reference point closely onto the body of the person requiring Soojichim acupuncture; marking the acupoint location at a skin of the person requiring Soojichim acupuncture through the drilled hole of the body copy; baring the body copy from the person requiring Soojichim acupuncture that the acupoint location is marked at the skin thereon; and performing Soojichim acupuncture through the drilled hole at the marked acupoint location of the body copy by the person.
Abstract:
A crutch includes a grip and a forearm support that are coupled to an elongated member that extends from the forearm support to the ground. The inner surface of the forearm support can correspond to a digital representation of a forearm of the patient and the outer surface of the hand grip can correspond to a digital representation of a palmar surface of the patient's hand in at least a partially closed position.
Abstract:
A moxa burning bowl is provided for application of heat treatment to body portions of a user, with the bowl having a flexible ring-shaped base member of a flexible cloth-like exterior and granular material therein, shaped in a ring-like or torus-like configuration, and having a generally concave shaped upper dish-like member and an open bottom, defining a zone therebetween when the bowl is placed on an exterior surface of a patient/user, for treatment. Moxa sticks or cones are carried by the dish-like member, projecting upwardly therefrom, and situated in sockets of the dish-like member, with the dish-like member having an upstanding periphery, enabling the dish-like member to catch fallen ash from burning moxa sticks or cones carried by the bowel.
