Abstract:
A shower installation with discharge nozzles for horizontal installation near the ceiling is constructed to be swiveled between a resting position and an active position, wherein at least a section of the discharge nozzles protrudes in the active position. To swivel the mounting of the shower device, an operating device is provided that swivels the shower device mounting via the force of water flowing to the shower devices.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a jet outlet element for a sanitary fitting which allows outlet of a defined gushing jet from the sanitary fitting. The sanitary outlet element is configured as a flat element having two compartments, a water inlet compartment and a water outlet compartment. A narrowed section is interposed between the two compartments and accommodates a flow rectifier. Said flow rectifier rectifies the as yet non-directional flow of the water in the inlet compartment and guides it in a controlled manner to the outlet compartment from where it emerges through the slotted outlet opening.
Abstract:
A multi-barbed connection suitable for use in connecting a piece of flexible irrigation tubing is provided, where one of the barbs is a circumferential barb configured for forming a generally fluid tight connection with the tubing and another of the barbs is a corner barb having one or more corners configured for biting into the tubing for at least partially assisting in retaining the tubing on the connection. The connection can be part of a fitting for fluidly joining multiple pieces of tubing or part of an irrigation device, such as a pop-up irrigation sprinkler.
Abstract:
A pop-up irrigation device for use in a low pressure irrigation device is described. The device has a housing, a riser partially extensible from the housing and a nozzle body removably attached to an end of the riser in a non-threaded manner, such as using a snap-fit, or in a threaded manner. One, two or more connection tubes or ports may extend laterally from the housing and can each be configured to be connectable to flexible irrigation tubing. Ribs may extend from the housing to facilitate retention when buried. An annular cap can be attached to the open end of the housing and may include an annular, radially-inward extending seal. The closed end of the housing may include a depending stake with a plurality of blades to facilitate mounting of the housing relative to the ground.
Abstract:
A dispensing device and method for forming a least partially solid or gel-like material from a liquid. At least one liquid issuing from an outlet is subjected to an electric field causing the liquid to form at least one electrically charged jet which, after formation, forms a fiber (F) or breaks up into fiber fragments (FF) or particles (D). The thus formed at least partially solid or gel-like material may be directly deposited, by virtue of the energy in the electrical field, onto a surface area, for example an area of skin enabling, for example, formation of a dressing for a wound or burn which is of high specific area and extremely absorbent. A biologically active ingredient such as a pharmaceutical ingredient or biological matter such as DNA may be incorporated into the fibers (F), fragments (FF) or particles (D). Fibrils, particles or microcapsules incorporating a biologically active ingredient may be supplied for oral or nasal administration to an animal such as a human being.
Abstract:
High-pressure washing liquid spray intended for use in a washing machine for ophthalmic glass or other substrates, consisting of an entry opening (11) for washing liquid and an exit opening (12) for liquid in a jet, connected by a channel. The channel (1) has a rectangular channel in cross section which introduces a constriction, in particular in the center, giving that channel an X shape, so as to form, on one hand, downstream of the above-mentioned constriction, an expanded exit cavity (13) ending in a slit forming the exit opening (12) and, upstream of the above-mentioned constriction on the other hand, an entry cavity (14) in the base cone where the rectangular base forms the entry opening (11) of the channel (1).
Abstract:
A waterfall unit for supplying a laminar flow of water into a water containment device. The waterfall unit comprising a fill spout having a water inlet for receiving water from a water source, a plenum chamber for containing an amount of water, and an elongated fill spout water outlet for expelling the water. A cover is provided for encasing at least a portion of the fill spout. The cover includes an elongated water outlet in alignment with the fill spout outlet. The waterfall unit also includes an enclosure member for enclosing the fill spout and the cover member to form a unit adapted for mounting onto a ledge of the water containment device. A related method for retrofitting a waterfall unit onto a water containment device is also provided.
Abstract:
A showerhead produces a wide, sheet-like flow when connected to a water source. Overflow slots guide water from a reservoir and over a spillway guarded by side-dams. A small drainage hole in the reservoir allows drainage and prevents growth of mold within the reservoir. A removable cap on the reservoir allows for insertion of aroma generating material and other water additives for dissolution in the water issuing from the showerhead. A ball swivel connector aerator restrict the flow of water into the reservoir and allow the showerhead to be attached to any compatible water output pipe.
Abstract:
In one aspect of the invention, an abrasion resistant nozzle has at least two sintered diamond bodies having flat, mating, exterior surfaces and a thickness, the surfaces being held against each other under compression. An enclosure is formed between the mating surfaces, at least one surface having a groove forming a portion of the enclosure and the other surface forming a remaining portion of the enclosure. The enclosure connects an entry and an exit formed in at least one side of at least one of the bodies.
Abstract:
A wide slit nozzle having a slit as a discharge opening. The thickness of a lateral end part is set smaller than the thickness at a lateral center part. The thickness of the lateral center part is fixed. The thickness of the lateral end part changes linearly from opposite lateral ends of the lateral center part to the opposite lateral ends of the slit. Coating material is discharged from the slit while applied with pressure, so that the coating material is coated while expanded wider than the width of the slit. The coating material is discharged at 7 liter per minute, and a coating width of a first example is 100 mm, for example. A thickness increase of the overlapped part is +25% even when a width or an overlapped margin z of the overlapped part is 10 mm or 20 mm.
