Current designs of dispensers often do not allow for proper ventilation. Additionally, current designs often do not permit proper liquid sealing during shipment. The disclosed apparatus can overcome these shortcomings. This foam dispenser comprises a container, a cylinder device, a collar connected to the cylinder device, the collar operably connecting the container with the cylinder device, and a seal located on the collar, wherein the seal expands under compression to a locked position to create an airtight and liquid tight seal substantially preventing air and liquid from entering or exiting the cylinder device.
Abstract:
A container and closure combination according to one embodiment of the present invention includes, as part of the closure, a tamper-evident band. The container includes a neck portion defining a dispensing opening and including an A diameter stop. The tamper-evident closure includes a closure body and the tamper-evident band is connected to the closure body by a plurality of frangible elements. A plurality of locking tabs are included as part of the tamper-evident band and are constructed and arranged to abut up against the A diameter stop upon retrograde rotation of the closure body from the container neck. The tamper-evident band further includes a radially inwardly extending ridge that is constructed and arranged to prevent repositioning of a plurality of the locking tabs to an orientation wherein the plurality of locking tabs would avoid abutment with the A diameter stop.

A spray nozzle and method are provided in which fluid flow through the nozzle is inverted and in which a portion of a nozzle body may be rotatable adjusted to distribute water in a desired arc of coverage. Water first flows upwardly through the nozzle body, into an adjustable arcuate chamber defined by a helical interface in the nozzle body, is inverted, and is redirected downwardly through the nozzle body. Water may flow upwardly through a first set of flow passages and downwardly through a second set of flow passages. Water is directed downwardly against a distribution surface having an uneven surface profile for improved water distribution to terrain near to and distant from the nozzle. The water is directed downwardly against the distribution surface in the nozzle body and outwardly to surrounding terrain. The flow passages may be adapted to provide a matched precipitation rate for nozzles with different throw radiuses.

A variable arc sprinkler may be set to numerous positions along a continuum to adjust the arcuate span of the sprinkler. The sprinkler includes a nozzle body and a valve sleeve that helically engage each other to define an arcuate slot that may be adjusted at the top of the sprinkler to a desired arcuate span. The sprinkler may include a flow rate adjustment device that may be adjusted by actuation or rotation of an outer wall portion of the sprinkler. Rotation of the outer wall portion may cause a throttle control member to move axially to or away from an inlet, or may cause one or more restrictor elements to open or close, to control the flow rate of the sprinkler.

A sealing liner for a container includes a unitary body having a substantially circular shape with an outer peripheral edge, an interior panel, and an annular wave portion surrounding the interior panel and being positioned between the interior panel and the peripheral edge. The wave portion is constructed and arranged with an inwardly-directed surface that includes two axially-projecting, concentric annular portions and a concave land area between the two annular portions. The sealing liner is bonded into a unitary closure having a sidewall and an upper panel wherein the sidewall is constructed and arranged for attaching to the neck finish of a container. The neck finish includes an upper edge and the sealing liner is configured such that its concave land area contacts the upper edge for sealing of that location and the corresponding interface between the container and closure.

A pop-up irrigation device for use in a low pressure irrigation device is described. The device has a housing, a riser partially extensible from the housing and a nozzle body removably attached to an end of the riser in a non-threaded manner, such as using a snap-fit. One, two or more connection tubes or ports may extend laterally from the housing and can each be configured to be connectable to flexible irrigation tubing. An annular cap can be attached to the open end of the housing and may include an annular, radially-inward extending seal. The closed end of the housing may include a depending stake with a plurality of blades to facilitate mounting of the housing relative to the ground.

A multi-barbed connection suitable for use in connecting a piece of flexible irrigation tubing is provided, where one of the barbs is a circumferential barb configured for forming a generally fluid tight connection with the tubing and another of the barbs is a corner barb having one or more corners configured for biting into the tubing for at least partially assisting in retaining the tubing on the connection. The connection can be part of a fitting for fluidly joining multiple pieces of tubing or part of an irrigation device, such as a pop-up irrigation sprinkler.
