Abstract:
One embodiment of an improved ozone generator is comprehensively disclosed by descriptions of computer generated drawings depicting the first commercial version of the invention, which combines the following features: an extruded base with longitudinal channels for receiving connections at distributed points; an extruded cover for detachably engaging the base at each opposing sides and covering a substantial portion of said base; a central baffle that is integral with the cover fro dividing the enclosed volume into a reaction chamber and a circuitry chamber; one or more ultraviolet light sources mounted to connection points on a channel within the reaction chamber; electronic circuitry mounted to connection points on a channel within the circuitry chamber for controlling and transforming an input voltage to drive the light sources; sliding end caps secured to channels in the base for separately covering apertures formed by the ends of the cover and base and for detachably connecting the cover to the base; and a selectively restricted outlet conduit for providing fluid communication between the reaction chamber and an external point of ozone injection.
Abstract:
A device for purifying a liquid in particular water is provided with an ozonating unit for treatment of said liquid with ozone and with a storage reservoir hydraulically connected to the ozonation unit. The device is provided with recirculation means for recirculating said treated liquid from said storage reservoir through a recirculation line. The recirculation line is provided with at least one filtration unit.
Abstract:
A method for subjecting a microorganism to a combination of ozone and irradiation of UV light which has a synergistic effect on the reduction of the microorganism that may be resistant to either ozone or UV light alone. In particular, Adenovirus and Naegleria fowleri, are significantly more reduced when subjected simultaneously to the combination of ozone and UV light than when subjected only to ozone or UV light, respectively.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an ozonated water generator which can generate highly soluble and highly concentrated ozonated water in an efficient and simple manner. In an ozonated water generator comprising a supply tube for transmitting a treated liquid, a gas/liquid mixing device provided in the path of the supply tube, and an ozone supply structure for supplying ozone to the gas/liquid mixing device. The gas/liquid mixing device is provided with a magnet for creating magnetic force in the interior. Creating magnetic force in both the treated liquid and the ozone makes it possible to generate highly soluble and highly concentrated ozonated water in an efficient and simple manner.
Abstract:
A wastewater treatment apparatus is provided with a wastewater tank for storing wastewater to be treated; a combustion pot for heating the wastewater supplied from the wastewater tank; a dust collector for collecting any dust generated in the combustion pot; a chiller for cooling the steam generated in the combustion pot; a gas-liquid separator for separating the steam cooled by the chiller into a liquid and a gas; and a liquid purifier for purifying the liquid separated from the gas by the gas-liquid separator. The liquid purifier generates ozone using a platinum catalyst and purifies the liquid with the ozone.
Abstract:
A removable disposable air dryer cartridge is provided for a small enterprise water ozonation system. The cartridge includes an air inlet to receive atmospheric air, a desiccant material to remove moisture, and a dry air outlet for interfacing with the ozonation system to provide dry air to an ozone generator. This facilitates better ozonation of water in the system, since dry air reacts better in an ozone generator, achieving higher concentrations of ozone gas, thus resulting in a better “kill rate” when ozonated water is applied to bacteria. The air dryer can be provided as a chamber of a combined air dryer and water filter cartridge, the other chamber being a water filter chamber having a water filter for extracting large particles of material from the water stream in order to prevent damage to the system.
Abstract:
A dielectric assembly for generating ozone includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode in operational proximity to the positive electrode, a dielectric in operational proximity to the positive and negative electrodes for generating the ozone, and a knob adapted to extend outside of a housing into which the dielectric assembly is to be placed. A system is also provided for sanitizing and deodorizing water, food, surfaces and air including a microbiological reduction filter device having an input connected to a water supply, a venturi injector disposed within a housing and connected to an output of the microbiological reduction filter device which generates ozone and mixes the generated ozone with the water, and an electrode assembly comprising a plurality of electrodes, a dielectric for generating the ozone, and a knob extending outside of the housing. The dielectric in a first embodiment and the entire dielectric assembly in a second embodiment can be removed from the housing and replaced in its entirety by the knob.
Abstract:
To provide an ozonized water producing apparatus capable of efficiently and easily producing ozonized water with a high dissolution degree and a high concentration. In an ozonized water producing apparatus constituted by including a pipeline for passing water to be treated through, a gas-liquid mixing structure provided halfway in the pipeline, and an ozone supply structure for supplying ozone into the gas-liquid mixing structure, the gas-liquid mixing structure is provided with a magnet for exerting a magnetic force onto an inside. By causing the magnetic force to act on both the water to be treated and ozone, ozonized water with a high dissolution degree and a high concentration can be efficiently and easily produced.
Abstract:
A microporous diffuser includes a first elongated member including at least one sidewall having a plurality of microscopic openings. The sidewall defines an interior hollow portion of the member. The diffuser has a second elongated member having a second sidewall having a plurality of microscopic openings, the second member being disposed through the hollow region of the first member. The diffuser includes an end cap to seal a first end of the microporous diffuser and an inlet cap disposed at a second end of microporous diffuser for receiving inlet fittings.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an ozone treatment system which generates ozone and mixes the ozone with the fed-in water to supply to a user's end. The ozone treatment system according to the present invention is operated in an enclosed cabinet so that the apparatus is not exposed to the elements when it is operated in an adverse environment. The ozone treatment system according to the present invention is provided with a cooling system that is cost effective and is able to maintain the normal operating temperature for the apparatus in the cabinet and requires very low maintenance.
