Abstract:
The present invention relates to a Colorful Ring Back Tone (CRBT) copying method, the method comprises: a calling mobile terminal initiating a call to a called mobile terminal and receiving a Ring Back Tone (RBT) sent by the CRBT service center; the mobile communication network authenticating it after receiving a CRBT copying request; if the authentication is passed, copying the RBT being currently played to a ring database of the calling mobile terminal and keeping playing the RBT until off-hook or on-hook; otherwise, keeping playing until off-hook or on-hook. The present invention relates to another CRBT copying method, the method comprises: a calling mobile terminal initiating a call to a called mobile terminal and receiving a RBT sent by the CRBT service center; the mobile communication network authenticating it after receiving a CRBT copying request; if the authentication is not passed, keeping playing the RBT until off-hook or on-hook; if the authentication is passed, enquiring the calling mobile terminal whether the copying should be taken; if it chooses to copy, copying the RBT being currently played to the ring database and keeping playing until off-hook or on-hook; otherwise, keeping playing until off-hook or on-hook.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to telecommunications, and more specifically, to an improved operating system and apparatus for telecommunications networks. Currently, the majority of telecommunication services are provided over the Public Switched Telephone Network and Internet. Existing telephony systems suffer from a number of problems including system complexity, limited access and implementation of services on fixed hardware, which results in long time to bring new products to market. Internet applications cannot guarantee quality of service in the transmission. These systems are therefore inflexible and inefficient which limits their ability to carry new services. The invention provides a distributed and real-time operating system for use over varied telecommunications networks. As well, methods of implementing synchronized execution, fault tolerance and loading management over this network, are also described. The application of this operating system to existing networks allows new services to be provided.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of sharing documents during a conference call data is disclosed. One example method may include initiating a document sharing operation during a conference call conducted between at least two participants communicating during the conference call. The method may also include transferring the document from one of the two participants to another of the two participants, and recording at least one action performed to the document by the participants during the conference call.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a call collision processing method for a terminal device, and a terminal device. A state machine records that a current state of the terminal device is an incoming call state, an outgoing call state, or an idle state. When the terminal device is in the idle state, that the terminal device processes an incoming call or an outgoing call is determined according to occupation of the state machine by incoming call information or by outgoing call information, and a state of the state machine after the state machine is occupied by the incoming call or the outgoing call is protected by using a mutex lock.
Abstract:
A computerized system and related method for assisting a user with placing a telephonic call, comprising a user specifying an originally-specified telephone number to place an intended telephonic call, which telephone number, as originally-specified, for at least one particular reason, cannot be used to successfully complete the intended telephonic call; after specifying the originally-specified telephone number, later specifying later-specified telephone number elements, including the possible deleting, ignoring or changing of part of the originally-specified telephone number and/or related dialing elements; and causing the telephonic call to be successfully signaled using the originally-specified telephone number in combination with the later-specified telephone number elements, without the user having to re-specify the originally-specified telephone number; wherein: the originally-specified telephone number is stored in a redial memory, for purpose of the deleting, ignoring or changing and signaling, until the user initiates a brand new dialing effort to place a new telephonic call.
Abstract:
A device may receive an outgoing message from a primary user device associated with an originating telephone number. The originating telephone number may be associated with the primary user device and one or more associated user devices. The device may identify the one or more associated user devices that are associated with the originating telephone number. The device may generate, based on the outgoing message, one or more outgoing synchronization messages corresponding to the one or more associated user devices. The one or more outgoing synchronization messages may be used to synchronize one or more outgoing messages, corresponding to the one or more associated user devices, with the outgoing message. The device may provide the one or more outgoing synchronization messages to the one or more associated user devices to synchronize the one or more outgoing messages with the outgoing message.
Abstract:
A method for scheduling a meeting using an email client that is part of an email system includes receiving a request at the email client to schedule the meeting. The request may include an indication of the resources that are to be provided by a conferencing system for the meeting. The method also includes communicating the request to a conference bridge that is part of the conferencing system and receiving from the conference bridge an access code associated with the meeting. The method also includes appending the access code to a meeting invitation associated with the meeting and providing the meeting invitation to an email server that is part of the email system. The method also includes sending the meeting invitation to users invited to participate in the meeting.
Abstract:
A telecommunication method is provided, which includes storing at least one message in a message base and defining a set of communication devices. The method further includes sending each device in the set, a notification of at least one event relating to the message. The method offers a plurality of mutually consistent methods of access to a message base using only targeted transmission of signaling messages of content that is directly linked to messages having content or status that has been modified, thereby considerably limiting transmission of superfluous data needlessly consuming bandwidth.
Abstract:
Systems and methods performed by an IP telephony system are designed to determine when two parties to a recently terminated telephony communication are simultaneously calling each other in an attempt to re-establish a telephony communication. When the IP telephony system determines that this situation is occurring, the IP telephony system acts to connect the two parties, rather than have both of them see their new call setup attempt fail because the other party's telephony device is indicated to be busy.
