Abstract:
A printing system includes a host having a virtual printer driver for converting a print job to a JPEG print file. A memory device is configured to receive the JPEG print file from the virtual printer driver. An imaging apparatus has a PictBridge port configured for receiving input from a camera. An interface device includes an important port, an export port and a processor device. The import port is configured for coupling to the memory device. The export port is configured for coupling to the PictBridge port of the imaging apparatus. The processor device is coupled to each of the input port and the export port. The processor device is configured to export the JPEG print file via the export port to the PictBridge port of the imaging apparatus.
Abstract:
A method and a system for increasing scanning speed are provided. The method may include determining a transmission rate of a transit interface, scanning an original to generate an image data, and adjusting a cycle time of the image data to change a data generating rate responsive to the transmission rate of the transit interface. One aspect of the present disclosure may be by adjusting the cycle time of a state machine to change the data generating rate corresponding to the transmission rate of the transit interface. Therefore, in response to the transmission rate of the transit interface, the cycle time of the state machine may be adjusted to produce the data at a rate that prevents the smearing process. Thus, the possibility of memory buffer full may be reduced, which may lead to the reduction in start-stop processes and therefore the overall scanning speed may be increased without necessarily requiring the increase in size of a memory buffer.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus capable of outputting a sensed image to a printing apparatus determines the type of PD printer apparatus connected via an interface, and selects the type of image data to be output to the PD printer apparatus on the basis of the determination result. The imaging apparatus directly transmits a JPEG code for a predetermined PD printer apparatus, or decodes and transmits the JPEG code for another printer apparatus.
Abstract:
What is disclosed is a printer/copier having a Universal Pointing Device Interface (UPDI) for accepting a variety of different pointing devices. The UPDI includes a connector for connecting to a pointing device and a controller having a cursor movement controller for receiving cursor moving signals from the pointing device and moving the cursor on the screen in accordance therewith. The UPDI also includes a Graphic User Interface (GUI) image selection controller for selecting GUI images pointed to by the cursor for actuation upon receiving selection signals from the pointing device. The printer/copier also includes cursor-selectable GUI images displayed on the screen for actuation by the cursor. The cursor-selectable GUI images correspond to the direct-touch buttons disposed on the machine for initiating similar printer/copier functions or inputting similar information via a pointing device.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a camera apparatus comprises an adapter connecting section. The adapter connecting section can be connected to a cradle. An arbitrary number of external recording apparatuses are connected to the camera apparatus via the cradle. An image signal stored in a recording medium of the camera apparatus can be output to the external recording apparatuses via the cradle through a LAN. A monitor section of the camera apparatus can display the arbitrary number of external recording apparatuses, to which the image signal stored in the recording medium of the camera apparatus can be transferred.
Abstract:
A power-sharing controller module comprises a processor, power manager, and at least one connector for detachably electrically connecting an application module to the controller module. The power manager is operable to manage power from a battery to the application module through said connector and to monitor the voltage of the battery. The processor is programmed to send a power reduction command to the application module in response to the monitored battery voltage moving outside of a permissible range.A power sharing method comprises supplying power from the battery in the controller module to the application module detachably connected to the controller module. Power supplied to the application module is reduced in response to an adverse power indication to conserve power for the controller module.
Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus includes one or a plurality of connecting portions configured to connect an external storage, a communication portion having a plurality of different facsimile lines, a line specifying portion configured to specify a facsimile line which received data, a detecting portion configured to detect that an external storage is connected to the connecting portion, and a control portion configured to store the data received by a predetermined facsimile line in an external storage connected to the connecting portion in cases where a facsimile line specified by the line specifying portion is a predetermined line and a connection of the external storage is detected by the detecting portion.
Abstract:
A printer, as an image forming device, acquires data size of image data to be printed from the data storage device, and calculates the transfer completion time required for transferring the image data to be printed according to the acquired data size of the image data to be printed and a speed of transferring data via an external interface to be used.
Abstract:
An image capture device is provided which is able to wirelessly communicate with external devices using multiple communications protocols. At least one image is acquired and stored by the image capture device. The image capture device than negotiates with the external device to establish basic communications parameters and attempts to communicate with the external device in a first communications protocol. If unsuccessful, the image capture device attempts to communicate with the external device in at least a second communications protocol. If successful, the image is transferred to the external device. If unsuccessful, the image capture device may, optionally, attempt to communicate with the external device in additional different communication protocols. The present image capture device can communicate with a wide variety of device types presently understanding different transmission protocols.
Abstract:
A printing system, a printing method and a recording medium are capable of conducting printing efficiently. Regarding the first printing means for printing images per one print in the first size and discharging these images, and the second printing means for printing images per multiple copies in the first size and discharging these images, the number of prints to be allocated to the first and second printing means is determined so that printing is finished in a minimum amount of time corresponding to the total number of prints of the first size to be printed. And, based on the determination result, the first and the second printing means are controlled.
