In addition, the authenticating unit includes a second human body communication module that conducts communication via the human body, a setup control data storing unit in which the setup control data is stored, and a second controller that causes the setup control data to be transmitted to the digital camera unit via the second human body communication module.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus which acquires, from another information processing apparatus, data stored in the other information processing apparatus, comprising, a storage unit storing data, a selection unit selecting data stored in the storage unit, a generation unit generating, based on the selected data, condition information that determines a condition for specifying data to be requested to the other information processing apparatus, and a communication unit transmitting the condition information to the other information processing apparatus and receiving, from the other information processing apparatus, data that satisfies the determined condition. The storage unit stores information about a generation location of the data in association with the data, and the generation unit generates, based on information about generation locations of the selected data, condition information that determines a condition regarding a range of locations where data to be acquired from the other information processing apparatus were generated.
Abstract:
A facsimile device downloads data from a web server if a URL of the web server is not listed in an access prohibited database. If it is determined that the downloaded data is of the type for which image formation is prohibited, then a printing function is set to OFF. If the printing function is ON, then a display unit displays an outline of the downloaded data, enabling a user to determine whether or not the downloaded data should be printing out. If the user input a print instruction, then the downloaded data is printed out. On the other hand, if the user input a cancel instruction, then the downloaded data is not printed out.
Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises a transmitter, a converter, and a receiver. The transmitter transmits data and a control signal. The converter receives the control signal from the transmitter and converts the control signal. The receiver receives the data from the transmitter via a data bus isolated from the converter and receives the converted control signal from the converter. The data transmitted from the transmitter is directly electrically connected to the receiver
Abstract:

The system may generally include a body, a processor in communication with a system bus, at least one memory source, a plurality of input ports being configured to communicate with a different type of digital photo devices, a plurality of output ports being configured to communicate with a different type of digital photo devices, and an input/output device positioned to receive input from an exterior of the body, the input/output device being in communication with the system bus.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus which is connectable to an external device includes a recording instruction module which instructs a recording, an imaging module which generates an image signal from an optical image, a memory module which stores the image signal generated by the imaging module, a connecting module which enables connection of the imaging apparatus to the external device, and a control module which controls writing into the memory module. The control module effects control so that when an image signal is written to the memory nodule from the external device connected via the connecting module, writing of a new image signal to the memory module which is responsive to an operation of the recording instruction module is inhibited.
Abstract:
A scanner for reading characters from a string of characters recorded on a substrate. The scanner includes a character scanner that is used with a stroking motion parallel to the string of characters that permits the user to view the line being scanned as the scanner is moved across the page. A line-by-line scanner with a wide area of view may be mounted along the side of the scanner to be used in scanning a page or column on a line-by-line basis. The character scanner may include a lens of variable magnification so as to accommodate variable size print. A microphone mounted on the scanner permits the input of voice sound information. The scanner may be in communication with a computer through a cable or a wireless transmitter/receiver. The value of each pixel detected by the scanner is determined by comparing the light reflection value with a threshold that is adjusted in accordance with the values of pixels detected and averaged over previous frames. The hand-held scanner may be housed in any elongate housing for pen-like use or in a palm-held housing such as a typical mouse. An image splitter may be included within the optics to generate two separate images for separate character recognition processing.
Abstract:
An imaging and recording apparatus for electrically recording an optical image of a subject as an image information signal which facilitates memory access from an external device and prevents image information from being changed. Upon manipulation of a recording trigger switch, an image outputted from a camera signal processing circuit at that time is written into a semiconductor memory, then subjected to data compression in a data compression circuit, and stored in a semiconductor memory. It is now assumed that an external device not illustrated is connected to a connector and this external device orders taking in the image of the semiconductor memory. If at this time the semiconductor memory is writing an image, a state detection circuit detects the fact and inhibits the external device from taking in the image. Furthermore, while the external device is taking in the image of the semiconductor memory, the state detection circuit detects this fact. Even if the recording trigger switch is manipulated, an AND gate turns off in response to an output of the state detection circuit and inhibits image writing into the semiconductor memory.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus is provided. The communication apparatus receives first information relating to IEEE 802.1X authentication from an information processing apparatus via a first wireless connection between the communication apparatus and another apparatus, terminates the first wireless connection, executes the IEEE 802.1X authentication based on the first information received in a state in which the first wireless connection is not established, and executes processing to re-establish the first wireless connection on the basis of the IEEE 802.1X authentication failing.
Abstract:
An MFP (image processing apparatus) activates a specific AP by a software AP mode for using a setting service that allows an external apparatus to perform network setting to cause the MFP to connect to a network by the software AP mode. If the MFP receives, from a mobile terminal via a WLAN I/F, a connection request to the activated specific AP, the MFP executes processing to limit the number of external apparatuses (mobile terminals) that can connect to the specific AP to use a WLAN setting service. The MFP limits, for example, the number of the external apparatuses that can connect to the specific AP to one.
