Abstract: In an image forming apparatus: a report reading portion reads image data of a print report that has already been printed; a memory stores report data of a current time point; a format determining portion determines whether or not the read print report and the report data match in format; a change search portion, when the print report and the report data match in format, determines whether or not changed information is included in the report data by comparing the report data with the print report for each item, the changed information being information that has been changed from corresponding information in the print report; and a change output portion, when the changed information is included in the report data, re-prints the changed information in a vicinity of pre-change information on the print report, the pre-change information corresponding to the changed information.

Abstract: Output devices or systems, such as televisions, speakers, projectors, or output controllers, are herein disclosed and enabled for receiving digital content from a digital content service operated, at least partly, over the Internet. The disclosed output device includes wireless communication circuitry and an interface. To set up the output device for receiving and playing digital content, the output device first receives, via the interface, security information, then establishes a wireless local area network connection employing the received security information. Subsequent to having established the wireless local area network connection and using the wireless communication circuitry, the output device connects to a server over a network for downloading and installing software applications or software components for upgrading or modifying the capabilities of the output device. Thereafter, the output device is setup for receiving the digital content from the digital content service using the downloaded and installed software components.

Abstract: An image reading device according to the present disclosure includes a support plate, a CCD sensor, an insulating member, a CCD mounting board and an elastic member. Abstract: A system and method for designing and printing fantasy draft board posters using a client computer communicating with a host computer. The host computer provides a design interface to a user, and the user selects a template design. The template design requires a user to input a variety of client-defined material with a header, and select the number of teams and rounds. The client-defined material is displayed actively on a scratch pad image, and determines the dimensions of the final format of the draft board poster. The final print image file for the poster is then created and printed.

Abstract: In a system in which a server and a client to which a device is connected communicate, the server can execute processes based on the result of checking device operation. The POS terminal of a network system has a device control function for controlling the device, and a diagnostic function for checking operation of the device. To check the operation of the device connected to the client, a maintenance server sends a control command instructing starting the diagnostic function to the POS terminal. The POS terminal stops the device control function if the device control function is executing, starts the diagnostic function, checks operation of the device with the diagnostic function, and returns the result of the checked operation to the maintenance server.

Abstract: A method for establishing a wireless connection between a mobile information apparatus (e.g., smart phone) and an output system having an interface operable by a user and at least a speaker (e.g., audio output device) are herein disclosed and enabled. The method comprises using the interface of the output system to receive an indication from the user to initiate wireless discovery based, at least in part, on physical proximity between the mobile information apparatus and the output system. The method additionally comprises using the mobile information apparatus to wirelessly (1) discover the output system, (2) establish a wireless communication link between the mobile information apparatus and the output system, and (3) transmit audio output data from the mobile information apparatus to the output system over the established wireless communication link. The output system uses the speaker to output or play at least part of the wirelessly received audio output data.
