Abstract: A rocker arm assembly comprises a first rocker arm having a first valve end, a second rocker arm having a second valve end, a first valve, a second valve, a hydraulic capsule disposed in the first valve end and movable between an extended and retracted position, and a swing bridge selectively actuatable by the first or second rocker arm and span the first and second valve. In engine brake mode, the hydraulic capsule moves to the extended position, causing the swing bridge to swing angularly as the first rocker arm rotates so as to actuate the first valve without actuating the second valve. In drive mode, the hydraulic capsule moves to the retracted position, and the swing bridge is actuated by the second valve end of the second rocker arm as the second rocker arm rotates so as to actuate both the first valve and the second valve.

Abstract: The invention generally provides a busbar for use in mechanically and electrically connecting components in a device. The busbar includes a plurality of conductors arranged to provide two opposed end portions and an intermediate portion, wherein each of the conductors has a plurality of intermediate extents that traverse the intermediate portion. The intermediate portion including: (A) an un-fused sector where no intermediate extents of the conductors are fused together to form a single consolidated conductor, and (B) a fused sector that includes (i) a limited solidification zone where a majority of the intermediate extents of the conductors are fused together to form a laterally solidified region that provides a single consolidated conductor, (ii) a partial solidification zone where a majority of the intermediate extents of the conductors are fused together to form a vertical solidified region that provides a single consolidated conductor, and (iii) an unsolidified region where all of the intermediate extents of the conductors are not fused together.

Abstract: A precharge device for DC loads comprising a switching element, a magnetic core with negatively coupled coils being switchably connected by the switching element. Moreover, the precharge device comprises capacitors with parallel diodes between the coils and ground with the forward directions pointing away from ground. In addition, the precharge device comprises a control for turning the switching element on if a total current through the coils or the absolute value of the total current drops below a first threshold value and for turning it off if it rises above a higher second threshold value. The invention also relates to an arrangement with such a precharge device a DC-grid connected to the precharge device and a load capacitor connected to the precharge device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-active bridge converter. The converter comprises n multi-active bridges, wherein each of the n multi-active bridges comprises a DC/AC bridge, a single-phase transformer and m AC/DC bridges, where n is greater than or equal to 3, and m is greater than or equal to 1; the single-phase transformer is provided with one primary winding and m secondary windings; the DC/AC bridge is configured to receive a DC input signal, and AC output terminals of the DC/AC bridge are connected to the primary winding of the single-phase transformer; one terminal of the ith secondary winding among the m secondary windings of the single-phase transformer is connected to an AC input terminal of the ith AC/DC bridge among the m AC/DC bridges, the other terminal of the ith secondary winding is connected to the other terminals of the ith secondary windings among m secondary windings of single-phase transformers in the remaining (n−1) multi-active bridges, where i is greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to m; and positive busbars DC+ and negative busbars DC− of the DC output terminals of all the AC/DC bridges among the n multi-active bridges are respectively connected with each other to serve as DC output terminals of the multi-active bridge converter.

Abstract: A busbar for electrically connecting components in a power distribution system. The busbar includes a plurality of conductors formed from a first material and having a first end, a second end, and an intermediate portion. The first end, the second end, and the intermediate portion can be integrally formed with one another and stacked to provide the busbar with a first geometry. The intermediate portion includes a handling section with a rigidity that is less than a rigidity of a corresponding section of a reference busbar that has (a) a geometry that substantially matches the first geometry and (b) has a single conductor formed from a material substantially similar to the first material. The handling section is formed using an edge-based fusion process that fuses a portion of the conductors together to form a single consolidated conductor in that section of the busbar.

Abstract: Systems and methods for calibrating a distance model and estimating a distance between one or more wireless devices, such as one or more Bluetooth or other types of wireless devices, for social distancing and contact tracing are described. The system includes at least one processor configured to determine an environmental fingerprint from an acoustic signal propagating within an environment, such as a room or another area. The environmental fingerprint may be compared to a database of predefined environmental fingerprints and one or more similar predefined environmental fingerprints identified. The predefined environmental fingerprints may be associated with one or more distance model parameters, which may be used to calibrate a distance model. In addition, the predefined environmental fingerprints may be associated with pretrained distance models. The calibrated or pretrained distance models may be used to process wireless signals in the environment to estimate the distance between users of wireless devices.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method of manufacturing a high voltage power fuse includes inserting a housing over a first assembly leg of an assembly frame, assembling a first terminal fabrication to the first assembly leg of the assembly frame, assembling a second terminal fabrication to a second assembly leg of the assembly frame, connecting a full-range fuse element assembly in a gap between the first terminal fabrication and the second terminal fabrication, sliding the housing over the connected full-range fuse element assembly, securing the housing in position to enclose the full-range fuse element assembly, and applying a silicated filler material to the assembled housing, full-range fuse element, and first and second terminals to establish a mechanical bond between the silicated filler material and the assembled housing, full-range fuse element, and first and second terminals.
