Abstract:
A formulation comprising a THP+salt and a thio-substituted compound. The formulation is suitable for use in the treatment of corrosion and metal sulphide scale deposits in aqueous systems. The thio-substituted compound may be a thio-substituted carboxylic acid or salt, a thio-substituted sulphonic acid, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl thiol, a thio-substituted heterocyclic compound or a mercaptoethanol.
Abstract:
A system may include a first microvia pad, a second microvia pad having a projection extending in a direction toward the first microvia pad, and a microvia electrically coupled to the first microvia pad and to the second microvia pad.
Abstract:
A system and method of drilling and/or perforating uses a laser beam to remove material, such as to perforate the casing, cement and formation or drill a well bore. The system and method can further or alternately encompass material analysis that can be performed without removing the material from the well bore. The analysis can be performed apart from or in connection with drilling operations and/or perforating the casing, cement and formation. The analysis can be used in a feed back loop to adjust material removal, adjust material analysis, determine the location of future material removal, and for other uses.
Abstract:
In a microprocessor, customer code routines are decoded from ISA instructions into microinstructions and stored in a customer code store (CCS) for later, repeated execution. Branch target addresses in the ISA code, which use an ISA memory addressing format, are replaced with CCS branch target addresses in the decoded, stored customer code routine. The customer code routine thus behaves as a microcoded library routine.
Abstract:
A gastric balloon includes a scaffold structure, one or more internal inflatable compartments within the scaffold structure, and one or more inflatable bladders formed over the space-filling compartment. The gastric balloon may be deployed transesophageally using a gastroscope and is inflated in situ, preferably using a combination of liquid and gas inflation media.

Abstract:
A system and method are provided for determining intravenous blood levels of a target compound contained in a blood vessel of a patient. The method includes the operation of detecting concentrations of the target compound within a patient's blood using a sensor device configured to optically test blood at a location within the blood vessel. Another operation is calculating a measured amount of a therapeutic compound to administer into the patient's bloodstream based on the concentrations of the target compound in the blood. The measured amount of therapeutic compound may then be pumped through the catheter into the patient's blood.
Abstract:
A method for analyzing reservoir fluids in connection with a drilling operation includes determining composition and isotopes of injection fluids injected into a wellbore during a drilling operation and production fluids recovered from the wellbore during the drilling operation. Reservoir fluids from a reservoir intersected by the wellbore are characterized based on the composition and isotopes of the injection fluid and of the production fluid.
Abstract:
A method of minimizing visual artifacts resulting from a laser scan process in an electrophotographic machine, the electrophotographic machine including a photoconductive device having an image forming surface. The method including the steps of obtaining correction data relative to a bowed image and offsetting at least a portion of non-bowed image data dependent upon the correction data, and additionally dependent upon halftone cell growth of a halftone cell.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for tracking financial securities transactions are provided. More specifically, price histories for one or more financial securities are graphically represented using a visual display interconnected with a computer. Indicators are provided on the graphical representation of the one or more securities indicating an action done to the financial security or securities at a point in time. By activating an indicator, information is communicated to the user relating to the action done to the financial security or securities.
