Abstract: A suction apparatus and a glass-wiping device with the suction apparatus. The glass-wiping device sucks onto the surface of a glass via the suction apparatus. The suction apparatus comprises a suction cup unit (1). The suction cup unit (1) comprises an inner suction cup (11) and an outer suction cup (12). The inner suction cup (11) is arranged on the inside of the outer suction cup (12), where a chamber on the inside of the inner suction cup (11) forms an inner negative pressure chamber (13) via vacuum suction, and where a chamber between the inner and outer suction cups (11 and 12) forms an outer negative pressure chamber (14) via vacuum suction. The glass-wiping device sucks onto the surface of the glass via the inner negative pressure chamber (13) and/or the outer negative pressure chamber (14). The glass-wiping device sucks onto the surface of the glass via the suction apparatus, is capable of ensuring sufficient vacuum pressure, and prevents the phenomenon of the glass-wiping device falling from the surface of the glass.

Abstract: A device for cleaning a surface (e.g., a barbeque grill, etc.) generally includes an enclosure having at least a lower side, an upper side, and a peripheral edge. The device includes one or more motors having one or more rotational shafts selectively fixable with one or more rotatable brushes. The one or more rotatable brushes have a plurality of bristles. At least a portion of bristles projects below a plane of the lower side of the enclosure. The device also includes a circuit adapted for connecting power from a power source to the one or more motors for a preset period of time upon actuation of an electrical switch connected thereto. The circuit is adapted to run the one or more motors in a first direction and then an opposing direction, such that if the device becomes stuck at an obstruction, it will eventually turn around due to the alternating directions of the one or more motors.

Abstract: A remote home security monitoring system and a method thereof are disclosed. In the system, an air sensor, a temperature sensor, a sound sensor and a charge-coupled device are integrated in a cleaning robot and configured to continuously sense air quality, ambient temperature and ambient sound when the cleaning robot is turned on, so as to generate ambient data which is further analyzed to determine an ambient state. When the ambient state is determined to be dangerous, the cleaning robot stops cleaning and notifies a remote user instantly, and provides the user to enable and control the charge-coupled device and a sound collection element to continuously record environment audio/video, and store the environment audio/video in a remote storage device. Therefore, the present disclosure can help to improve the comprehensiveness of home security monitoring.

Abstract: A power-saving robot system includes at least one peripheral device and a mobile robot. The peripheral device includes a controller having an active mode and a hibernation mode, and a wireless communication component capable of activation in the hibernation mode. A controller of the robot has an activating routine that communicates with and temporarily activates the peripheral device, via wireless communication, from the hibernation mode. In another aspect, a robot system includes a network data bridge and a mobile robot. The network data bridge includes a broadband network interface, a wireless command interface, and a data bridge component. The data bridge component extracts serial commands received via the broadband network interface from an internet protocol, applies a command protocol thereto, and broadcasts the serial commands via the wireless interface. The mobile robot includes a wireless command communication component that receives the serial command; transmitted from the network data bridge.
