    Abstract: This invention generally relates to a painter's masking tape that covers well and is easy to tear in a straight edge without the use of scissors or other mechanical means. The tape comprises perforated portions that allow for the easy tearing of the tape. The bottom surface of the tape has an adhesive layer that is easily removed from the surface of the object to be protected. The non-adhesive portion is coated with an impervious coating to prevent the seepage of the paint or other liquid through the tape and onto the protected surface. The perforated portions of the tape are also made impervious to liquids by either being covered with an impervious coating, film, or tape pieces.

    Abstract: A binding tape member and a wire harness having a binding tape member configured to having the same function of conventional wire harnesses without the need for corrugated tube, pre-wrapping or post wrapping. The binding tape member has a tape member body that covers a group of electrical lines by being wrapped around the group of electrical lines. The tape body has a trapezoidal upper surface portion with an upper side and a lower side that correspond to the tape width end edges and a trapezoidal lower surface portion facing a direction opposite to the trapezoidal upper surface portion are alternatingly arranged in the tape length direction. Also, in a trapezoidal upper surface portion and a trapezoidal lower surface portion that are adjacent to each other, sides thereof in the tape length direction are connected to each other in an integrated manner by a rectangular side wall portion.

    Abstract: A foam tape having a multi-layer structure comprising a polyurethane foam core layer, at least one tie layer, adjacent one side of the polyurethane foam core layer, a first PSA film on one side of the first tie layer and a second PSA film, either on one side of a second tie layer or on one side of a polyester layer directly adjacent the opposite side of the polyurethane foam core layer, and a double-sided release layer on one side of the first PSA film.     Abstract: A floor marking tape has a structure that retains the adhesive under the tape to prevent the adhesive from being squeezed out from under the tape when the tape is in use on a floor. In one embodiment, the structure is a shoulder that defines a recess that holds the bulk of the adhesive. The shoulder prevents the adhesive from flowing out to the outer edge of the tape. The tape may have beveled edges that limit the unintentional lifting and delamination of the tape from the floor. The upper surface of the tape may be curved from edge-to-edge to limit dirt retention on the tape as well as allowing objects to slide over the tape.

    Abstract: An adhesive tape substrate production method disclosed in the present description includes the steps of: decreasing the amount of a sizing agent contained in a glass cloth by heat; impregnating the glass cloth for which the amount of the sizing agent has been decreased with a dispersion of a fluorine resin; and heating the impregnated glass cloth to a temperature equal to or higher than a melting point of the fluorine resin. Thus, an adhesive tape substrate including the glass cloth impregnated with the fluorine resin is obtained. This method are more productive of adhesive tape substrates and adhesive tapes than conventional methods. In addition, adhesive tape substrates and adhesive tapes for which the occurrence of defects in appearance are reduced can be produced.
