Abstract:
A power-supply cable unit which supplies power to an electronic device includes in one end thereof an IC card-loading section to which an IC card is loaded, and a connection which is connected to the electric device such that information of the IC card loaded to the IC card-loading section is read with the electronic device, wherein an insertion slot of the IC card-loading section faces in a direction that the connection is fitted into the electronic device.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a stylus having a retractable connector for use with a computing device. According to one embodiment, the stylus includes an outer housing and a connector configured to attach to a port on the computing device so as to maintain the stylus in a fixed position adjacent to the computing device. Furthermore, the connector is capable of extending from the housing of the stylus into a first position and also retracting into the stylus housing into a second position.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a communication connector arranged on an image-forming apparatus body to provide communications with an information storage device including a guide portion and installed on a detachable device. The connector includes a body terminal which, when the detachable device is attached to the apparatus body, contacts a contact terminal of the information storage device, and a body projection extending in a moving direction of the detachable device and having a slope at its distal end. The body terminal is arranged on the body projection and configured not to project further than the slope, to be exposed to outside from a portion other than the slope, and to contact the contact terminal inside the guide portion when the body projection is inserted thereinto. An inclination angle θ of an end portion of the slope is not smaller than an inclination angle θ1 of the slope.
Abstract:
An improved retention mechanism having corresponding retention features is provided herein. The mechanism may include a pair of spring arm retention features in a connector receptacle engageable with a corresponding pair of recessed retention features in a connector tab and backup spring members for reducing stress within the spring arms during insertion of the tab and/or lubricating members for lubricating the retention mechanism. The backup spring is positioned adjacent an outer-facing surface or extends laterally outward from the spring arms so that deflection of the spring arms displaces the backup spring reducing stresses within each arm and/or increasing the retention force on the connector tab. The backup spring may include any or all of a bent portion of an bracket or arm, a wire, a loop, a complementary spring arm, dual backup springs, elastomeric members, compression springs and lubricating members. Methods of use and assembly such retention mechanisms are also provided.
Abstract:
An adaptor may include a base modular unit that includes a plurality of surface connectors, a first port and circuitry. At least one surface connector may couple to an expansion modular unit. Circuitry or logic may provide information from the first port to the at least one surface connector.
Abstract:
The described embodiments relate generally to use of an electrically conductive member, such as a grounding spring, used to electrically ground components on a printed circuit board as well as provide mechanical protection to the components. More particularly, a method and apparatus for attaching a grounding spring to multiple locations on the printed circuit board are disclosed. In one embodiment, the grounding spring can act as both a ground and a mechanical protection element for other surface mounted components disposed on the printed circuit board.
Abstract:
An electrical device includes an upper shell facing a user, a lower shell engaged with the upper shell to commonly define a mounting space, a mother board mounted in the mounting space, a receptacle portion and a rotating cover rotating about the receptacle portion. The upper shell defines a first opening for an insertion of a mating plug. The mother board defines a notch, wherein the receptacle portion is holding conductive terminals therein, the receptacle portion is assembled in the notch of the mother board and between the mother board and the upper shell. Wherein the lower shell defines a second opening, the rotating cover is received in the second opening and a front portion of the rotating cover is actuated in to the first opening of the receptacle portion.
Abstract:
A male connector assembly is plugged into a female connector. The male connector assembly comprises a male-head connector and an antenna. The male-head connector comprises an electrical connection part and a covering body. The covering body is arranged at a first side of the electrical connection part. The antenna is arranged inside the covering body. The male connector assembly is connected to the female connector, and then the female connector transmits a wireless signal to the antenna. The antenna transmits a back-pass signal to the female connector after the antenna receives the wireless signal. Data is transmitted between the male connector assembly and the female connector when the back-pass signal is verified correctly by an electronic product electrically connected to the female connector.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle may include a first row of electrical contacts extending along a side of the receptacle a first distance from an opening of the electrical receptacle and a second row of electrical contacts extending along the side of the receptacle a second distance from the opening of the electrical receptacle. The first row of electrical contacts may include a first receptacle differential signaling pair closer to a center of the first row of electrical contacts than a second receptacle differential signaling pair in the first row of electrical contacts. The second row of electrical contacts may include a third receptacle differential signaling pair closer to a center of the second row of electrical contacts than remaining contacts in the second row of electrical contacts.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a plug retention device consisting of a frame applied between the socket of an electronic device and it's plug. The frame decreases the annular gap present between the plug and socket, thereby improving retention of the plug within the socket and preventing accidental disconnection.
