Abstract: A device useful as a receiver including a waveguide interface to an antenna guiding a radio frequency (RF) signal to an RF waveguide cavity coupling the RF signal to a crystal resonator. The crystal resonator comprises a nonlinear material generating an optical output in response to a nonlinear interaction between the RF signal and an optical pump in the resonator. An optical port coupled to the crystal resonator for outputting the optical output from which the RF signal received on the antenna can be determined.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a novel silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve, referred to as CIT-16P, that comprises a silicoaluminophosphate framework with an occluded OSDA that is DiQ-C4 or DiQ-C3. The synthesis of CIT-16P, its conversion to SAPO-17, and the use of the so-derived SAPO-17 in the MTO reaction are also disclosed.

Abstract: Interplanetary networks for space internet and space positioning are presented. Abstract: A system configured to be at least partially implanted along an aorta includes an inelastic, static member and a pinching member. The pinching member is configured to receive an activation signal at an activation rate and in response to the activation signal, repeatedly compress the aorta at the second location at the activation rate to pump fluid within the aorta in a desired pumping direction. The system is configured to selectively control wave reflections in order to achieve both improved wave dynamics to reduce cardiac load and increased (or at least non-diminished) blood flow to targeted organs within the cardiovascular system.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, systems, compositions, and kits for the multiplexed detection of a plurality of analytes in a sample. In some examples, this disclosure provides methods, systems, compositions, and kits wherein multiple analytes may be detected in a single sample volume by acquiring a cumulative measurement or measurements of at least one quantifiable component of a signal. In some cases, additional components of a signal, or additional signals (or components thereof) are also quantified. Each signal or component of a signal may be used to construct a coding scheme which can then be used to determine the presence or absence of any analyte.

Abstract: A dual-pathway system for CO2 capture in both acidified and basified streams is provided. The system may be embodied in an off-shore stand-alone facility to allow for the operation of oceanic CO2 capture to be more efficient and cost effective. Systems maintain high environmental standards by containing all intermediate acidic and alkaline solutions in a closed system so that the effluent discharged back into the ocean is at the similar pH and salinity as the feed oceanwater, with only CO2 removed. Acid and base produced by an electrodialyzer unit is used to achieve oceanwater decarbonization via gaseous CO2 removal and solid CaCO3 precipitates removal. The system is configured to require the processing of a very small fraction of the total oceanwater intake for the acid-base generation process.

Abstract: A multi-band metasurface antenna is described. The antenna includes a plurality of stacked metasurface layers for operation according to a respective plurality of separate and distant frequencies. Each metasurface layer presents a high impedance at frequencies that are different from the respective frequency. The metasurface layers are stacked according to a decreasing order of the respective frequencies, with the highest frequency closer to a bottom ground layer of the stack. The metasurface layers are separated by dielectric layers of equal permittivity. According to one aspect, the antenna includes two metasurface layers for respective operation according to a Ka-band and a W-band. According to another aspect, the antenna includes an integrated feed structure that includes respective inner conductors vertically arranged through the dielectric layers to make contact with respective feeder extensions that are in contact with the respective metasurface layers.
