Abstract: An electronic converter, including a measurement circuit for determining a first signal indicative of the voltage or current supplied by the electronic converter, a regulation circuit for generating a regulation signal as a function of the first signal and one or more reference signals, and a driver circuit for driving the switching stage of the electronic converter as a function of the regulation signal. The electronic converter includes an optical, inductive or capacitive coupler and a transmission circuit configured to generate a pulse width modulated signal applied to the input of the optical, inductive or capacitive coupler, wherein the transmission circuit varies the duty cycle and the frequency of the pulse width modulated signal as a function of the first and second signal. The electronic converter includes a receiver circuit configured to monitor the received signal at the output of the optical, inductive or capacitive coupler.

Abstract: An optical converter is to be simply and reliably monitored. Thereto, a circuit device including a measurement bridge with a measurement branch, a first comparison branch and a second comparison branch is provided. A conductor path loop of the converter can be integrated in the measurement branch. The first comparison branch has a first series resistance variable via a first active element. Similarly, the second comparison branch has a second series resistance variable via a second active element. The first and the second active elements are respectively controllable by the same control signal. The circuit device further has an evaluation circuit with a first comparator and a second comparator, the outputs of which form the control signal and at the same time an output signal of the circuit device in AND-gated manner. Each comparator compares a tap of its respective comparison branch to a tap of the measurement branch.

Abstract: A projection apparatus includes a discharge lamp; a control apparatus for controlling a discharge current through the lamp. The apparatus is designed in a first drive mode, to control the discharge current having an amplitude profile; in a second drive mode, to control the discharge current in accordance with the amplitude profile; and to change between the first mode and the second mode. The time difference between two changes is given by a first time interval, and the time difference between the change from the first mode to the second mode and a next instance of leaving the second mode is given by a second time interval. Abstract: An illumination device for variable illumination in different spatial directions is provided. The illumination device includes a pump radiation unit, which has a pump radiation source for emitting pump radiation, a luminescent element for at least partial conversion of the pump radiation into illumination light, which is emitted in response to excitation with the pump radiation on an illumination light emission surface of the luminescent element, and optics which are assigned to the luminescent element and respectively direct illumination light ray bundles, which come from different positions of the illumination light emission surface and strike the optics on a luminescent material side, into a different spatial direction of the propagation on an illumination side opposite to the luminescent material side, The pump radiation unit is configured to respectively emit a pump ray bundle adjustably in different spatial directions, which pump ray bundles are coupled in on the illumination side.
