Abstract: A handheld disinfection device includes a housing, an electromagnetic radiation source, a sensor, and a controller. The housing is configured to be grasped by an operator and the electromagnetic radiation source is affixed to the housing and is configured to operably emit disinfecting electromagnetic radiation. The sensor and the controller are coupled to the housing, and the controller includes a processor and a memory having instructions stored thereon that cause the processor to perform various operations. The various operations may include receiving, by the processor, operational data from the sensor pertaining to an operator's manipulation of the handheld disinfection device during a disinfecting treatment. The controller operations may further include determining, by the processor, operational feedback based on the operational data, wherein the operational feedback comprises information pertaining to whether a proper dosage of disinfecting electromagnetic radiation has been directed to a surface of a structure to be disinfected.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to an aircraft cabin LED lighting system and lighting assembly, in which each LED light is paired with and controlled by a separate microcontroller, which is individually addressable. In various embodiments, a lighting control device (e.g., a control panel for flight attendants) transmits pixel data to various lighting assemblies around the cabin. These lighting assemblies include the microcontroller-LED light pairs. Each LED light is multicolor and includes multiple LEDs (e.g., one for each color). The pixel data defines a color scheme and/or animation sequence. Each pixel maps to one of the microcontroller-LED pairs. The microcontroller controls the intensity of each LED of the LED light according to the pixel data it receives.

Abstract: An LED lighting assembly includes, according to various implementations, mechanisms for protecting the LED lights from voltage or current surges, including hardware that absorbs the strike voltage and hardware that provides a bypass path. The provision of a bypass path in the event of the failure of one or LED lights in an LED string allows the string to be, in effect, “turned off” in order to protect the remaining LED lights, thereby allowing the healthy LED lights to stay lit.

Abstract: A wearable light assembly includes an opaque housing that is open towards the ground and is configured to reflect light emitted from a first light source downward onto a first location that is close to the wearer and reflect light from a second light source downward onto a second location on the ground that is farther away from the wearer than the first location. In an embodiment, the wearable light assembly senses motion of the wearer and switches between the first light source and the second light source depending on whether the wearer is moving slowly (in which case it activates the first light source) or moving quickly (in which case it activates the second light source).
