Abstract: An aircraft emergency lighting system is disclosed. This emergency lighting system may include interior emergency lighting, interior ambient light sensors, exterior emergency lighting, and exterior ambient light sensors. The interior emergency lighting, the exterior emergency lighting, or both, may be controlled based upon an input of the interior ambient light condition (e.g., using an output from at least one of the interior ambient light sensors) and based upon an input from at least one of the exterior ambient light sensors.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to an aircraft cabin LED lighting system and lighting assembly, in which each LED light is paired with and controlled by a separate microcontroller, which is individually addressable. In various embodiments, a lighting control device (e.g., a control panel for flight attendants) transmits pixel data to various lighting assemblies around the cabin. These lighting assemblies include the microcontroller-LED light pairs. Each LED light is multicolor and includes multiple LEDs (e.g., one for each color). The pixel data defines a color scheme and/or animation sequence. Each pixel maps to one of the microcontroller-LED pairs. The microcontroller controls the intensity of each LED of the LED light according to the pixel data it receives.

Abstract: An end of life detection system for an anti-collision light may comprise a reflector and a plurality of LEDs located around an exterior of the reflector. A trend LED and reference LED may be located in an interior of the reflector. The trend LED may be powered on with plurality of LEDs. The reference LED may be powered on during an initial power-on self-check and turned off after completion of the initial power-on self-check.
