Abstract:
A chlorine-generating apparatus is herein disclosed which uses softened household water and salt. The apparatus includes a freestanding brine tank to hold salt and softened household water. The brine tank includes a submerged chlorine-generating cell, an improved chlorine-generating cell container, and a cell-cleaning reservoir. The brine tank also includes a precipitation tank to help remove minerals from the incoming household water. The chlorine-generating apparatus generates sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, as well as other sanitizing chemicals. The chlorine-generating apparatus also incorporates an improved method for controlling pH. A water-cooled power supply independently delivers power to the chlorine-generating cell.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a fresh water separator including a dilute draw solution chamber, at least one first membrane contactor which receives a fluid fed from the dilute draw solution chamber so that gas and fresh water can be separated from the fluid, a second membrane contactor which enables the separated gas to be dissolved in a fluid flowing in the second membrane contactor so that the separated gas is re-concentrated, and a vacuum pump which cooperates with the first membrane contactor and the second membrane contactor, and to a forward osmotic desalination device including the fresh water separator.
Abstract:

The sealing structure includes: a cylinder with an opening formed at one end thereof, the cylinder comprising an inner wall surface and an outer wall surface, and an outer thread being provided on the outer wall surface; a sealing cover which is capable of hermetically cooperating with the inner wall surface of the cylinder to seal the opening; a support cover which is capable of being connected with the cylinder by thread engagement; when the support cover and the cylinder are relatively rotated in order to achieve a threaded connection of the support cover and the cylinder, the support cover is capable of supporting the sealing cover and impelling it to move in parallel so as to allow the sealing cover to reach a position at which it seals the opening.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system and method for remediation of contamination in aquatic environments. The apparatus comprises: a vessel including an opening, and an uptake line or pump coupled to the vessel and configured to transport the contained and suspended materials from an interior of the vessel to an exterior of the vessel. The opening is facing a bottom of a body of water, and the vessel is in direct physical contact with the bottom of the body of water. The vessel has been configured to contain and suspend materials inside the vessel. The uptake line or pump housing includes an attachment selected from the group consisting of an impeller, e.g. an air and/or water cannon, a pump, and a sliding collar.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electrolysis water-making apparatus where an electrolytic cell in which a unit cell is provided in a casing, is fixed to an installation base by a fixture attached to the electrolytic cell, and, through a pipe group, electrolyte solution is supplied into the electrolytic cell, and electrolyzed products produced in the electrolytic cell are delivered. The electrolysis water-making apparatus is characterized in that: in the installation base, there are formed one or two or more through holes, depending on the size of the electrolytic cell, through which through hole the end part of the fixture can be inserted; an end part of the fixture is inserted through a through hole, which is selected from the one or two or more through holes depending on the size of the electrolytic cell; and an end part of the fixture which projects from the installation base is locked on the installation base. The electrolysis water-making apparatus can be easily produced in a short time, and can be provided at a low price.
Abstract:
A flow through aqueous liquid sterilization apparatus which employs substantially fixed temperatures and pressures and variable flow rates through the apparatus for controllably processing aqueous liquids to achieve predetermined values of SALs. This apparatus is also self-contained and self-cleaning using steam generated by reducing pressure during normal operation, as well as inhibiting growth of contaminating species during intermittent system shut-down periods.
Abstract:
A device for treating water, particularly a filtration device, including a cartridge, which has a receptacle for receiving treatment agents for water, particularly for receiving filtration agents, and a connecting head disposed on the receptacle, wherein the connecting head at the outer surface thereof has at least one inlet opening and at least one outlet opening. The device further includes a connecting element, which has a holder for the connecting head with at least one inflow opening and an outflow opening, which are connected to the inlet and outlet openings of the connecting head in a sealing manner by means of sealing elements. The connecting head is tapered toward the free end, wherein the outer surface has at least one first curved outer surface section, which is inclined toward the longitudinal axis of the cartridge, and a second outer surface section opposite from the first outer surface section. The inlet and outlet openings are located in the first and/or the second outer surface sections. The connecting head is inserted in the holder in the axial direction, wherein the inside surface of the holder has first and second inside surface sections that complement at least the first and second outside surface sections.
Abstract:
Described is a filter cartridge having a cup shape that can be filled with a filtering material, and placed in a filtering device such as a water pitcher. The filter cartridge has a base, a side wall, and a flange defining the cup shape of the filter cartridge. A removable mesh insert may be affixed atop the flange, allowing replacement of the filtering material.
Abstract:
Electrolytic equipment in the form of radiation mode that is provided with pluralities of baffles (13) in the form of radiation mode on the top surface of the seat (10) and acidic water passage (131) is formed between the baffles (13). The top surface of the seat (10) has through holes (14) used to make anode conduction portions (33) of anode plate (30) through. In the center of the seat (10), there is a socket joint portion (11) that is provided with an inlet and outlet interval tube (15) in the center of it. There are plurality of equidistributed baffles (151, 157) on the inside wall and the outside wall of the inlet and outlet interval tube (15) to form raw water inlet passage (152) and acidic water outlet passage (153). There are protuberant ribs (16) for separating water inside of the seat (10) corresponding to the location for separating water around the anode plate (30) and the cathode plate (40), which are used to separate alkaline water and acidic water electrolyzed from the anode plate (30) and the cathode plate (40). Alkaline water passage (631) is formed on the bottom surface of the lid (60) and the center of 11d (60) is provided with alkaline water outlet joint (61).
