Abstract:
The present invention relates to an additive composition for a combustible fuel to produce improved combustion and reduced exhaust pollution of the combusted fuel, which additive composition comprises: a) one or more water-soluble alcohols having between 1 and 5 carbon atoms, in an anhydrous state or as a 0.5-36% aqueous solution, and one or more of the following: b) one or more straight- or branched-chain alcohols having between 6-18 carbon atoms; c) one or more ethoxylated alcohols having between 12 and 18 carbon atoms where the ethylene oxide add-on is less than 5 moles; d) a fatty acid of the structure R—(C═O)—OH having from 10 to 24 carbon atoms with e) a source of nitrogen in an anhydrous state or as an aqueous solution; wherein components a) to e), when combined with mixing with said combustible fuel, form a clear, stable microemulsion having a viscosity similar to the liquid fossil fuel. Combustion is improved and pollutant and particulate levels are reduced.
Abstract:
A patient interface assembly that includes a patient interface device, a headgear, and coupling member joining the interface device to a headgear assembly. In one embodiment, a spring biases the patient interface device against the patient's face when in use. In a further embodiment, the patient interface device is a nasal cushion that includes a formable support mounted to the nasal cushion for providing support and adjustment of the nasal cushion to improve fit and comfort. The headgear assembly in one embodiment is a semi-rigid, minimal contact harness assembly and includes an adjustment assembly that allows for a simultaneous adjustment of multiple straps. An adjustment assembly on the headgear provide a gross adjustment of the position of the interface relative to the patient and a biasing force to urge the patient interface device against the patient's face. In a further embodiment, a pair of rigid connecting members coupling the patient interface device to the headgear.
Abstract:
The present invention re lates to a liquid synfuel additive composition which is used as an additive to coal fines to enhance the complete combustion of the coal after turning it into a synthetic fuel. The composition is a chemical change agent in that it converts the coal/composition mix into a different material which, when burned, results in lower noxious emissions. The composition includes a wax, a base for ph adjustment and water.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of an emulsified fuel in combination with an engine oil that shows a synergistic effect in reducing emissions such as particulate matter, hydrocarbons and/or nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2, N2O, collectively NOx) and/or reducing wear from an engine.
Abstract:
The present invention relates a surfactant composition for use as an emulsifier in water blended fuel mtixture. The said composition includes ethoxylate of cashew nut shell liquid. In addition ethoxylate of cashew nut shell liquid, the said composition comprises a co-surfactant having a hydrophilic lipophilic balance in the range of 4 to 12 and a polymeric dispersant. The water blended fuel mixture using emulsifers of the present invention, overcome some of the shortcomings of the previously known emulsions. The ethoxylate of cashew nut shell liquid is of the formula (I).
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method to use diesel fuel alchohol micro emulsions (E-diesel) to provide a source of reductant to lower NOx emissions using selective catalytic reduction. Ethanol is stripped from the micro emulsion and entered into the exhaust gasses upstream of the reducing catalyst. The method allows diesel (and other lean-burn) engines to meet new, lower emission standards without having to carry separate fuel and reductant tanks.
Abstract:
