Abstract:
An imaging apparatus capable of outputting a sensed image to a printing apparatus determines the type of PD printer apparatus connected via an interface, and selects the type of image data to be output to the PD printer apparatus on the basis of the determination result. The imaging apparatus directly transmits a JPEG code for a predetermined PD printer apparatus, or decodes and transmits the JPEG code for another printer apparatus.
Abstract:
A digital imaging system uses a high density, high speed analog/multi-level memory to temporarily store image data at high rates for extended periods of time. A portion of the stored data is transmitted for image processing and compression. When image processing and compression on the data are completed, another portion of the stored data is transmitted for processing. As a result, high speed image capture for extended periods is possible because the processing speed of the image processing and compression no longer limit the time required between high speed bursts or the length of a high speed burst.
Abstract:
An implementation of a technology is described herein for facilitating the direction of push scanning from an input peripheral to one or more destinations of multiple of such possible destinations. With this technology, a user of a scanner quickly and easily performs a nullpush scannull to a primary target computer of one of multiple targets connected to the scanner (directly or via a network). The user selects a primary target (e.g., a computer) of one of multiple targets connected thereto (directly or via a network) and a secondary target (e.g., a file, an application, an email, a fax, etc.) associated with that primary target. Once selected, the user scans a document at the scanner. The scanner notifies the primary target of the scan request and that it is the intended destination. The primary target initiates and controls the scan. When it receives the scanned data, it directs it to the secondary target. This abstract itself is not intended to limit the scope of this patent. The scope of the present invention is pointed out in the appending claims.
Abstract:
The communication apparatus is equipped with a first communication interface for executing communication based on a first communication method, and a second communication interface for executing communication based on a second communication method different from the first communication method. The communication apparatus sets ID information for identifying device executing communication by the first communication method, for device which executes communication with the second communication interface. In this manner plural device supporting different communication methods can be recognized as device belonging to a same communication system.
Abstract:
A digital image storage system includes a digital camera having a memory capable of storing digital images and an adapter on which the digital camera is to be laid down-for informing the adapter of the digital images in the memory. The digital image storage system further includes a data storage having a storage medium that stores the digital images informed through the adapter. The data storage is in cooperation with the digital camera by way of the adapter to delete a digital image from the memory of the digital camera in case of the digital image completely informed and stored in the storage medium.
Abstract:
A digital image storage system includes an adapter on which the digital camera is to be laid down for the purpose of taking out digital images in a memory of the digital camera and a digital image storage located apart from the adapter for communicating therewith. The digital image storage includes a detector that detects a signal from the adapter, a function unit that causes the taking out of the digital images in response to the signal, and a storage medium that stores the taken out digital images.
Abstract:
This invention is a digital color print system having a feature that the printing operation is effected according to the size of printing paper irrespective of the image size of a digital image corresponding to a photographed image and including a digital color printer which can be selectively connected to plural types of digital cameras having different image sizes of images. The digital color print system includes a communication driver for inputting digital image data from the digital camera, an image memory for storing part or all of the input digital image data, a CPU for subjecting the stored digital image data to a preset process so as to convert the stored digital image data to printing data which can be printed and controlling the whole portion of the digital color printer, a switch for specifying printing of the printing data, a print head for effecting the printing operation based on the printing data thus obtained by effecting a preset operation, and a switch for changing the image size corresponding to the input digital image data. The image size can be changed to an image size corresponding to a preset printing size.
Abstract:
A cradle for a digital camera comprises a connector to which a plurality different kinds of digital cameras can be selectively and detachably connected. The camera body of the digital camera is provided with a magnet located at a position which is changed in accordance with the kind of the digital camera, or provided with a magnet having a magnetic force the value of which corresponds to the kind of digital camera. The cradle has a magnetic sensor and a sensing circuit. The sensing circuit determines the kind of digital camera connected to the connector, by sensing the magnet. The magnet and the magnetic sensor may be replaced with a reflecting member and an optical sensor.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an album type image display device. The image display device reads out album data, including image data and album manager data for arranging images in a style of an album, from a memory card and displays an electronic album page by page on the basis of the album data. When a second set of electronic images are read out from a second memory card while successive two pages of the electronic album are displayed, additional pages having the second set of electronic images pasted thereon are interposed between the displayed two pages. Upon pressing an automatic play button, the image display device starts displaying respective pages of the electronic album turn by turn in a predetermined sequence. A respective page is displayed for a time that is determined based on a data volume of that page.
Abstract:
An image processing device such as an electronic camera prevents external devices from writing to a first storage region of a memory, while allowing the external device to write to a second storage region of the memory. Accordingly, even when the external device operates irregularly, information stored in the first storage region cannot be erased or corrupted. According to a second aspect of the invention, two connectors provided on the electronic camera so that the camera can be attached to different external devices are arranged on the outer housing of the camera so that when the first connector is connected to an external device, the second connector is covered. Conversely, when the second connector is connected to an external device, the first connector is covered. This prevents both connectors from being simultaneously connected to two different external devices. Therefore, the possibility of causing an excessive voltage within the camera is lessened.
