Abstract: A server for controlling a plurality of image forming apparatuses each provided with an autonomous navigation system that enables the image forming apparatus to travel to a destination: receives first location information indicating a current location of each image forming apparatus, and second location information indicating a current location of the information terminal; receives at least a monochrome printing time that indicates a time period in which the image forming apparatus performs monochrome printing when the image forming apparatus is not capable of performing color printing; and selects one of the plurality of image forming apparatuses as an image forming apparatus to perform printing according to the user request, based on the first location information, the second location information, and the device information.

Abstract: An image processor, a printing apparatus, and an image processing method are provided that can reduce, when a plurality of types of inks are used to print an image, the color unevenness that is caused by the variation of ejecting characteristics among a pluralities of nozzles. To realize this, for a color formed by overlapping at least two colors of inks, parameters are prepared that are determined so as to reduce the color difference in the printing medium due to the variation of the ejecting characteristic among the respective pluralities of nozzles. During printing, the parameters are used to correct the first color signal owned by the individual pixels to the second color signal.

Abstract: According to the present invention, when a terminal apparatus is brought close to a printing apparatus serving as a processing apparatus, the terminal apparatus uses its own NFC unit to acquire, from the printing apparatus, information for communicating with each of one or more network connection units provided in the printing apparatus. Then, using a communication unit, the terminal apparatus then searches for the printing apparatus on a network in accordance with the acquired information. In the case where the terminal apparatus has successfully identified the printing apparatus as being present on the network, the terminal apparatus transmits a processing request to the printing apparatus successfully identified on the network via the communication unit.

Abstract: A system-in-a-package including a printed circuit board, a receiver, a processor, a baseband module, an image module and a transmitter. The printed circuit board is configured to be mounted within a printer. The receiver (i) receives a first radio frequency signal wirelessly transmitted to the printer from a network device, and (ii) generates a first baseband signal based on the first radio frequency signal. The processor generates a second baseband signal based on the first baseband signal. The baseband module generates a data signal based on the first baseband signal. The image module processes the data signal to implement physical printing via a print mechanism. The transmitter (i) generates a second radio frequency signal based on the second baseband signal, and (ii) transmits the second radio frequency signal from the system-in-a-package to the network device.

One system includes a processing circuit configured to: determine a set of one or more locations on the printed image on the substrate to measure color values; determine a set of input tone values for the at least one ink; receive a set of measured color values corresponding to the set of locations on the printed image from a sensor; and determine a tone value increase error based on the set of measured color values and the set of input tone values. The at least one processing circuit is configured to determine the tone value increase error without requiring measured color values from an area having solid ink.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a communication portion arranged inside a cover covering an image forming portion in the main body of the apparatus and including an antenna surface for use in establishing near field communication. The cover includes a stacking portion in its upper section. The stacking portion is configured to receive a recording medium with an image thereon, the recording medium being discharged outside the main body of the apparatus. The antenna surface faces a region of the upper section of the cover downstream in a direction of discharging the recording medium. The antenna surface at least partially faces a region of the upper section of the cover outside the stacking portion in a direction perpendicular to the direction of discharging the recording medium. The communication portion is capable of communicating with another communication portion using near field communication.
