Abstract: An apparatus for inking a roller of a decorator press for printing on metal cans has a main body disposed the decorator press, the main body having a blade holder portion. A plurality of ink inlets is spaced longitudinally along the length of the main body or the blade holder portion. The ink inlets lead to a plurality of ink channels terminating downstream from the inlets. A blade is coupled to the blade holder portion, the blade configured to spread ink from the plurality of ink channels onto the roller of the decorator press. An adjustment device is configured to provide movement of the blade from a first operating position coupled to the blade holder to a second operating position coupled to the blade holder.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for image processing using multiple imaging devices are provided. A first imaging device is configured to acquire a first image of a portion of a printed substrate and the second imaging device is configured to acquire a second image of a portion of the printed substrate. At least a portion of the first image and the second image are acquired from the same portion of the printed substrate at the same time. The first imaging device is configured to process color data from the first image using a first processing circuit of the first imaging device and the second imaging device is configured to process spatial information from the second image using a separate second processing circuit of the second imaging device.

Abstract: A delivery apparatus for sorting a single stream of signatures into two or more streams, the apparatus includes two counter-rotating bucket assemblies. Each bucket assembly includes a plurality of buckets spaced from one another along a common axis.
