Abstract: An apparatus includes a memory, a communication interface in communication with the memory and configured to communicate via a network, and a processor in communication with the memory and the communication interface. The processor receives facial image data associated with a user of a client device, registers the facial image data, and stores the facial image data and contextual data associated with the user in a database. The processor also receives video stream data from at least one image capture device in communication with the network, analyzes the video stream data and contextual data associated with the video stream data to define analyzed video data and analyzed contextual data, respectively, and defines a confidence level based on comparing the data associated with the video stream data to the data stored in the database. The processor defines a user-specific contextual video stream when the confidence level satisfies a criterion.

Abstract: A tunable filter includes: a first transparent substrate including a first reflective surface; a second transparent substrate including a second reflective surface that opposes the first reflective surface; and a supporting member, connected to the first transparent substrate, that supports the second transparent substrate on the first transparent substrate so that the second reflective surface is disposed at a position separated from the first reflective surface in a normal direction of the first reflective surface. A cavity between the first reflective surface and the second reflective surface forms an etalon. A relative position of the second transparent substrate with respect to the first transparent substrate changes due to thermal expansion of the supporting member, and a length of the cavity changes in the normal direction.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a measuring apparatus for analyzing a measuring medium. The measuring apparatus includes a probe housing, a radiation source, and coupling and decoupling optics. The optics have a measurement window in the probe housing to direct radiation of the radiation source into a measuring region outside the probe housing and including the measuring medium, and to block measuring radiation from the measuring region. Via the optics, a receiving device detects measuring radiation and generates output data. An additional physical or chemical sensor is integrated into the probe housing and is designed to detect a measurand of the measuring medium and output measurement signals. An electronic measurement unit is configured to collect and process the output data of the receiving device and the measurement signals of the additional physical or chemical sensor.

Abstract: A polychromator system comprising: an optical element defining an aperture; a collimation mirror for receiving light via the aperture and reflecting substantially collimated light; at least a first dispersive optical component and a second dispersive optical component, each configured to disperse the substantially collimated light received from the collimation mirror by different amounts for different wavelengths and to provide cross-dispersed light having different wavelengths of light spaced along a first and second axis; and a focus mirror positioned to focus the cross-dispersed light onto a 2-D array detector to provide a plurality of aperture images of the aperture at a respective plurality of regions of the detector, each of the plurality of aperture images associated with a respective wavelength of the cross-dispersed light. Either one or both of the collimation mirror and the focus mirror is a freeform mirror having a reflective surface configured to mitigate effects of optical aberrations of the polychromator system over a plurality of the wavelengths of the cross-dispersed light along the first axis and the second axis and thereby optimise the resolution of the plurality of aperture images associated with the plurality of the wavelengths along the first axis and the second axis.
