Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein describe an infrared (IR) imaging system for detecting a gas. The imaging system can include an optical filter that selectively passes light having a wavelength in a range of 1585 nm to 1595 nm while attenuating light at wavelengths above 1600 nm and below 1580 nm. The system can include an optical detector array sensitive to light having a wavelength of 1590 that is positioned rear of the optical filter.

Abstract: This far-infrared spectroscopy device is provided with: a variable wavelength far-infrared light source that generates first far-infrared light; an illuminating optical system that irradiates a sample with the first far-infrared light; a detecting nonlinear optical crystal that converts second far-infrared light into near-infrared light using pump light, said second far-infrared light having been transmitted from the sample; and a far-infrared image-forming optical system that forms an image of the sample in the detecting nonlinear optical crystal. The irradiation position of the first far-infrared light on the sample does not depend on the wavelength of the first far-infrared light.

These are arranged to pulsate incoming light via only one light guide at a time based on a pulse timing parameter, and record a spectrum of light diffracted from each light guide and detected by the detector based on the pulse timing parameter.

Abstract: A spectral image capturing method using a spectral camera control device installed in aircraft, the method comprising:
a) setting an exposure time of the spectral camera so that a current exposure time is determined (S2), b) determining whether or not either an amount of attitude change or an amount of position change of the spectral camera per exposure time exceeds a predetermined threshold based on a spatial resolution of the spectral camera (S4), c1) when exceeding the predetermined threshold, resetting the current exposure time to be shorter (S5), c2) when not exceeding the predetermined threshold, not resetting the current exposure time to be shorter, and d) capturing a spectral image in a snapshot mode with the spectral camera using the reset exposure time, wherein when the transmission wavelength of the liquid crystal tunable filter is switched while the aircraft is in a stationary flight, steps b) to d) are repeated.-
