Abstract:
A filter includes a porous molding, the porous molding being a sintered product of mixed powder containing dry gel powder including an ion exchange resin and thermoplastic resin powder, or a swelled body of the sintered product. When water having an electric resistivity value of 18 MΩ·cm or more is allowed to pass through a space velocity of 1200 hr−1, the electric resistivity value of water after passage is 15 MΩ·cm or more. To provide a filter that can efficiently remove metal ions in a solution to be treated, and easily acquire a solution having an extremely low content of metal ions.
Abstract:
An aspect of the disclosure relates to a dialysate regenerator, including: a purification means; at least one reversible retainer including an ion reservoir; a dialysate flow path including a dialysate inlet for receiving a dialysate, a dialysate outlet for dispensing the dialysate, the purification means and the at least one reversible retainer: a pump connected to the dialysate flow path and configured to generate a flow of the dialysate from the dialysate inlet via the reversible retainer and the purification means to the dialysate outlet, wherein a direction of the dialysate flow path through the reversible retainer is reversible.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a particulate cobalt ion adsorbent which has a high adsorption capacity. A particulate cobalt ion adsorbent which contains potassium hydrogen dititanate hydrate represented by chemical formula K2-XHxO.2TiO2.nH2O (wherein x is 0.5 or more and 1.3 or less, and n is greater than 0), and no binder, wherein the particulate cobalt ion adsorbent has a particle size range of 150 μm or more and 1000 μm or less.
Abstract:
Metal organic resins, composite materials composed of the metal organic resins, and anion exchange columns packed with the composite materials are provided. Also provided are methods of using the composite materials to remove metal anions from a sample, methods of using the metal organic resins as fluorescence sensors for detecting metal anions in a sample, and methods of making the metal organic resins and the composite materials. The metal organic resins are amine-functionalized metal organic frameworks and their associated counter anions. The composite materials are composed of metal organic resin particles coated with organic polymers, such as alginic acid polymers.
Abstract:
An ion exchange tank is provided. The ion exchange tank includes a processing chamber and an additive chamber separated by a weir system, the weir system having a flow channel fluidly connecting the processing chamber to the additive chamber, wherein the flow is divided from the additive chamber by a first partition and divided from the processing chamber by a second partition, wherein the additive chamber comprises a solids-absorbing material disposed therein.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a corrosion inhibitor and inhibitor provided within a coating material for coating a metal, particularly but not exclusively steel. The corrosion inhibitor in a coating particularly protects a sacrificial coating such as zinc or zinc alloy on galvanised steel which in turn therefore provides improved corrosion resistance to the underlying steel. According to an aspect of the invention there is a corrosion inhibitor provided in a polymer binder, the corrosion inhibitor comprising an organic ion in an ion exchange resin.
Abstract:
A method of making an ion exchange foam is described. The method includes forming an aqueous phase by suspending an ion exchange resin in an aqueous solvent. An organic phase is formed by mixing at least a divinylbenzene, a monomer, and a surfactant. The formed aqueous phase is mixed with the formed organic phase to form an emulsion. The emulsion is polymerized to form the ion exchange foam. The ion exchange foam can be used with a plurality of sample vials in an autosampler.
Abstract:
A polyelectrolyte-coated particle, devices for using the particle, methods for using the particle for separating PCR reaction products and/or DNA sequencing reaction products, and compositions for coating the particle are provided.
Abstract:
This invention relates to certain novel anion exchange resins and methods of making them. It relates more particularly to aminated cross-linked resin bead polymers containing an inert and/or chloromethylated core, and an aminated outer shell, and to methods for preparing the same. These resins exhibit improved anion exchange properties.
