The invention relates to pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions which comprise (A) base resin, (B) the first multifunctional compound and (C) the second multifunctional compound that can react with the first multifunctional compound and realizes an interpenetrating network structure in the cured state, and relates to polarizers and liquid crystal displays comprising the same. The invention shows excellent durability under high temperature and/or high humidity condition and good properties such as machinability, removability and workability. The invention can provide the adhesive compositions efficiently suppressing light leakage generated in the liquid crystal displays. In particular, the adhesive compositions of the invention prevent light leakage even when being used in large display devices of 20 inches or more.

The object of the invention is a process for the production of a fiber-based armature particularly adapted to be embedded in at least one matrix, characterized in that it consists in performing the following steps: preparing a fiber-based material, and depositing on at least one of the surfaces of the material thus obtained a repositionable glue. Provided are adhesive articles and assemblies that include a flat and at least partially elastic backing along with a patterned adhesive coating on each side of the backing. When viewed from directions perpendicular to the backing, the adhesive on one side of the backing does not substantially overlap the adhesive on the opposing side of the backing. As a result, it is possible to use a stretch removable adhesive article that uses, for example, an aggressive adhesive to provide a reliable bond but still remove cleanly and easily from delicate substrates that would otherwise be damaged or destroyed if bonded with conventional adhesive constructions.

A method of applying a patterned coating of a silicone adhesive to a substrate sheet, comprising the steps of pattern coating a silicone precursor composition onto the substrate, followed by thermally curing the precursor composition coated on the substrate. The precursor composition is a viscous fluid, and the pattern coating is performed by suitably modified block printing, intaglio printing or screen printing methods. Also provided are coated substrates obtainable by the methods of the invention, and wound dressings comprising such coated substrates.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film of the invention includes: a polarizing film; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on the polarizing film, wherein the polarizing film includes a polarizer and a transparent protective film provided on only one side of the polarizer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is provided on a side of the polarizer where the transparent protective film is absent, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is made of a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing a (meth)acryl-based polymer (A) and an alkali metal salt (B). The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer-attached polarizing film has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer with an antistatic function and satisfactory durability and whose optical properties are less likely to be degraded.
