Abstract:
A Graphic Performance Index (GPI) for increasing performance of graphics in a process control system graphical user interface (GUI). A GUI is built from GUI elements for use on a device. Determining an element load time for each GUI element based a hardware profile of the device permits calculating a total load time of all the element load times of the GUI elements. And the load time is mapped to a GPI scale. Based on the GPI, the GUI elements of the GUI are altered to improve the performance of the GUI.
Abstract:
Customer communication security vulnerabilities are resolved. A usage history is obtained for a user device including communications involving the user device. Pattern recognition is applied to the usage history. The user device is assigned with a risk classification from a predetermined set of possible risk classifications, based on the pattern recognition. A vulnerability on the user device is remedied when the risk classification exceeds a predetermined threshold.
Abstract:
When performing a read operation on a non-volatile memory device which includes a plurality of memory sections each corresponding to a plurality of data units, the read count of a specific memory section and the error bits of its corresponding data units are monitored for determining whether data relocation should be perform. When the read count of the specific section exceeds a read count threshold and the error bits of any corresponding data unit exceeds an error threshold, data is moved from the specific memory section to another memory section of the non-volatile memory device, thereby preventing read disturbance from occurring in the specific memory sections.
Abstract:
In an integrated circuit device that outputs data values during respective transmit intervals defined by transitions of a transmit clock, the phase of the transmit clock is shifted by half a transmit interval to enable a timing calibration operation. Thereafter, a sequence of data values is transmitted to another integrated circuit device in response to the phase-shifted transmit clock and a samples of the sequence of data values are received from the other integrated circuit device. The received samples are compared with the sequence of data values to determine a phase update value, including comparing at least one received sample with two adjacent data values within the sequence of data values, and the phase of the transmit clock is incrementally advanced or retarded according to the phase update value.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing delegated metric tools within a partially closed communication platform that includes receiving a tag identifier linked to at least a first identified platform interaction in the communication platform; associating the tag identifier with at least one logged event of an account associated with the first identified platform interaction; defining a tracking resource with at least one tag identifier; measuring platform interactions tracked by a tracking resource; and providing access to measured platform interactions through an application.
Abstract:
A data storage system and associated method are provided wherein a policy engine continuously collects qualitative information about a network load to the data storage system in order to dynamically characterize the load and continuously correlates the load characterization to the content of a command queue of transfer requests for writeback commands and host read commands, selectively limiting the content with respect to writeback commands to only those transfer requests for writeback data that are selected on a physical zone basis of a plurality of predefined physical zones of a storage media.
Abstract:
Dynamically switching cores on a heterogeneous multi-core processing system may be performed by executing program code on a first processing core. Power up of a second processing core may be signaled. A first performance metric of the first processing core executing the program code may be collected. When the first performance metric is better than a previously determined core performance metric, power down of the second processing core may be signaled and execution of the program code may be continued on the first processing core. When the first performance metric is not better than the previously determined core performance metric, execution of the program code may be switched from the first processing core to the second processing core.
Abstract:
A system and method for power management by performing clock-gating at a clock source. In the method a critical stall condition is detected within a clocked component of a core of a processing unit. The core includes one or more clocked components synchronized in operation by a clock signal distributed by a clock grid. The clock grid is clock-gated to suspend distribution of the clock signal to the core during the critical stall condition.
Abstract:
In accordance with some implementations, a method of collecting statistics about processor usage is disclosed. The method is performed on a data storage server having one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs for execution by the one or more processors. The server system executes one or more processes, wherein each of the one or more first processes is associated with an entity from a group of one or more entities. The server system then receives an interrupt signal at a first predetermined interval. In response to receiving the interrupt signal and for each processor of the one or more processors, the server system interrupts the process currently being executed on the processor. The server system increments the counter associated with the interrupted process. The server system then resumes the interrupted process.
Abstract:
Systems and methods to provide usage analysis of a productive environment are provided. In example embodiments, a logging module links to a compiler to obtain information on a program as the program is being executed by the compiler. One or more procedures of the program may be determined and a count for each of the one or more determined procedures maintained. The determined one or more procedures and the count for each of the one or more determined procedures are stored in a buffer as log data. The log data is compiled, using one or more processors, into a detailed data source for further analysis.
