Abstract: A portable lighting device has an upright configuration and a folded configuration. In the upright configuration, the portable lighting device provides lighting directed to a workspace area. In the folded configuration, the legs of the portable lighting device are rotated into a compact position for transport or storage. The portable lighting device includes lugs to hold one or more objects, which helps increase the surface area of the workspace. The portable lighting device is suitable for different uses of tradespersons and hobbyists. For example, a user can use the portable lighting device while working on radio-controlled car or electrical or hardware repairs.

Abstract: A smoke detecting enclosure which is impervious to interference from outside light sources includes a smoke detecting housing and an upper cover. The smoke detecting housing has an receiving space with openings on one side, an opposite side defines two opposite installation parts carrying a light emitter and a light receiver. Abstract: Various systems and methods of analyzing one or more properties of a sample are provided. The system includes a self-contained purging device having a sample holder and one or more analyzers for analyzing one or more properties of the sample. The purging device is configured to remove sample contained within the sample holder when an analysis is complete. In one embodiment the purging device is configured via an air pump having a tube in fluid communication with an air inlet of the sample holder, wherein the air pump is configured to deliver pressurized air to the air inlet and thereby purge the sample. The pressurized air is localized ambient air, and substantially free of contaminants. Methods and other systems are also described and illustrated.

Abstract: A gas cell assembly and applications of the gas cell assembly in absorption spectroscopy. An example gas cell assembly includes a gas cell body with an inlet for receiving a gas sample from a gas source; a first and a second end portions that allow optical transmission into and out of the body, the second end portion being substantially opposite from the first end portion; and a channel providing a path for the gas sample and optical beam(s) between the first end portion and the second end portion. The gas cell assembly also includes reflective surfaces outside the body to receive versions of the optical beams from the body and to reflect each version of the incident beam towards the body. A detector, then, receives a last reflected beam and transmits a corresponding data signal to a processing unit for analyzing the gas sample based on the data signal.
