Abstract:
A facsimile apparatus for transmitting a plurality of originals, each original comprising a plurality of sheets, in a single communication operation includes a reading unit for reading images of sheets of the plurality of originals, a recognition unit for recognizing a border between originals read by the reading unit, and a transmission unit for sequentially transmitting the images of the sheets of the plurality of originals read by the reading means, and for transmitting a signal representing a border between originals when a border between transmitted images of sheets corresponds to the border between the originals recognized by the recognition unit.
Abstract:
A copy allowable time can be set for a document, and can be embedded in a hard copy of the document as discrete signals which cannot be recognized with the naked eye. A digital copying machine allows the document to be copied in a copy operation during the copy allowable time and, at other times, either prohibits copying or changes the copy operation.
Abstract:
A picture image processing system which produces output picture images by executing picture image processing operations on input picture images with an input means furnishing instructions on machine operations, input picture information from an original document, and processed picture information for the input picture information, a recognizing means for the information mentioned above, a composite picture image generating means producing composite picture images by integration of the processed picture information into the input picture information recognized as mentioned above, and an output means yielding the output of such composite picture images on paper. The picture image processing system of the present invention is capable of performing a variety of picture image editing and composing functions and a variety of functions for producing an output of composite picture images using different types of picture image output equipment and sending the output to multiple destinations for document distribution.
Abstract:
An example electronic device includes a watermark scanner to scan a watermark embedded on an initial page of a physical medium. The electronic device also includes a gesture sensor to detect a hand movement of a consumer associated with the physical medium. The electronic device further includes a controller to: determine a page number of the initial page based on the scanned watermark; determine a current page number based on the page number of the initial page; determine a page number of a subsequent page of the physical medium based on the detected hand movement and the current page number; and determine payoff information associated with the subsequent page based on the page number of the subsequent page.
Abstract:
A printer receives print setting information from a server, and executes a one-set process repeatedly in accordance with the print setting information. The one-set process includes: a specifying process for specifying a page number which is to be requested to the server, a transmitting process for transmitting the request including the specified page number to the server, a storing process for storing a partial data in the memory in a case where the partial data is received from the server, a printing process for printing using the partial data, and a releasing process for releasing an area in the memory.
Abstract:
A service providing system is for providing a service that is in cooperation with a printing service that is provided by an external printing system. The service providing system includes a job obtaining unit configured, when receiving from the printing system a notification representing that a print job is created by the printing service, to obtain the print job from the printing system; a job managing unit configured to store, in a job storage unit, the print job obtained by the job obtaining unit; and a job transmitting unit configured to transmit the print job stored in the job storage unit in response to a print job request from an image forming apparatus that is coupled to the service providing system via a network.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an extracting unit that extracts identification information items from image information items of a document group that includes plural individual documents, each of the identification information items being included in a corresponding one of the individual documents, a corresponding information generating unit that generates corresponding information items that indicate corresponding relationships between the identification information items and the image information items of the individual documents, and an electronic document generating unit that rearranges an order of the identification information items on the basis of contents of the identification information items and generates an electronic document that includes the image information items of the document group, the corresponding information items, and the identification information items that have been sorted.
Abstract:
Described herein is a fax processing system for the improvement of efficiency and reliability of fax transmissions over any communications network, specifically for retransmitting an incomplete transmission. Fax images are encoded with an embedded digital bit signal by a fax software program on the originating fax that indicates the number of pages in the document where such bit signal is recognized by fax software at a fax service for the purpose of monitoring the page count of the transmission, and in the case of a failed transmission, using the embedded digital data to notify the recipient that more pages will be transmitted, and further transmitting the remaining pages on the next facsimile phone call.
Abstract:
A signature device including a storage unit configured to store moving image data, and a processor configured to extract original metadata from moving image data for the image data of each of a plurality of images forming the moving image data, the original metadata including location data of the image data and identification data of the moving image data, to encode the image data of each of the images into still image data in accordance with an image format, to write the still image data into a first area, to write the original metadata extracted by the extractor into a second area, the first area and the second area being included in a storage area of a still image data file in which the still image data is filed, and to generate summary data for the still image data file.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus includes: a reading device that reads a recording file on which a plurality of groups of information of character strings are stored in advance; a displaying device that displays any one group of the plurality of groups of the information of character strings; a selecting device that selects one desired group of information of character strings from the plurality of groups of the information of character strings; and a recording device that records shooting completion information that indicates shooting corresponding to the one desired group of the information of character string has been completed on the recording file, when shooting is performed in a state where the one desired group of the information of character string is selected, wherein when one group of the plurality of groups of the information of character strings is selected and displayed, based on the shooting completion information, the displaying device displays the selected one group of the information of character strings, and a display of completed shooting information that indicates an image corresponding to the selected one group of the information of character strings has been shot together.
