Abstract:
The utility model provides a building block type combined storage device, at least including any two of a large storage basket group, a small storage basket group and a lid. The large storage basket group includes a first large storage basket without a first handle and/or b second large storage basket with a first handle, wherein the small storage basket group includes 2*n first small storage baskets without a second handle and/or 2*m second small storage baskets with a second handle, and a, b, n, and m are all natural numbers greater than or equal to 1. Through the design of a first clamping groove mortise and tenon joint structure and a second clamping groove mortise and tenon joint structure, the stability of connection between the large and small storage basket groups is enhanced. The utility model has the advantages of flexible stacking and combination, reasonable and firm structure, high utilization rate and ability of self-arrangement and storage.
Abstract:
A method and system for video-content based retrieval is described. A query video depicting an activity is processed using interest point selection to find locations in the video that are relevant to that activity. A set of spatio-temporal descriptors such as self-similarity and 3-D SIFT are calculated within a local neighborhood of the set of interest points. An indexed video database containing videos similar to the query video is searched using the set of descriptors to obtain a set of candidate videos. The videos in the video database are indexed hierarchically using a vocabulary tree or other hierarchical indexing mechanism.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to compositions and methods for treating neurodegenerative diseases and disorders, particularly ophthalmic diseases and disorders. Provided herein are styrenyl derivative compounds, including but not limited to stilbene derivative compounds, and compositions comprising these compounds, that are useful for treating and preventing ophthalmic diseases and disorders, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and Stargardt's Disease.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of sonar processing includes identifying, with a processor, a detection having a detection probability value, the detection in a selected beam, wherein the detection is associated with a detection range cell having detection range cell data. The method also includes comparing, with the processor, the detection range cell data with range cell data from a corresponding range cell from at least one overlapping beam overlapping the selected beam. The method also includes updating, with the processor, the detection probability value based upon the comparing. A sonar system uses the above-described method. A computer readable storage medium has instructions thereon to achieve the above-described method.

Abstract:
An electro-magnetic interference device attached to a surface of an object by soldering is disclosed. The device comprises a base comprising a surface defining at least one recessed portion. The at least one recessed portion comprises a side wall. An angle between the side wall and the surface of the base is equal to or greater than 90 degrees.
Abstract:
A thermocouple structure capable of providing a more compact thermopile-based thermal sensor. The thermocouple structure has a stacked configuration that includes a plurality of first conductors on a surface, a dielectric layer on each of the first conductors, and a plurality of second conductors on the dielectric layer and formed of a different material than the first conductors. Each first conductor has first and second ends, and each second conductor has a first end overlying and contacting the first end of one of the first conductors, and a second end overlying but separated from the second end of the first conductor by the dielectric layer. A plurality of third conductors electrically interconnect one of the second ends of the second conductors with one of the second ends of the first conductors. Each third conductors is thicker than the second conductors to promote the robustness of the connection.
Abstract:
A method for making and vacuum packaging a silicon micromachined motion sensor, such as a gyroscope, at the chip level. The method involves micromachining a trench-isolated sensing element in a sensing chip, and then attaching a circuit chip to enclose the sensing element. Solder bumps serve to attach the circuit chip to the sensing chip, form a hermetic seal to enable vacuum-packaging of the sensor, and electrically interconnect the sensing chip with the circuit chip. Conductive runners formed on the enclosed surface of the circuit chip serve to electrically interconnect the sensing element with its associated sensing structures.
Abstract:
A tone detector and associated method for use with EVRC-B and GSM vocoders to enable reliable detection of system connect tones over a wireless communication system. The tone detection method examines a number of sequential data frames of the signal received from the vocoder and determines that the tone is present if the spectral energy at frequencies around the tone is much higher than that at neighboring frequencies and if the calculated center frequency of the data frames is at or near the frequency of the tone.
Abstract:
In certain embodiments, a method for compressing n-dimensional data includes applying a data clustering algorithm to n-dimensional data to partition the n-dimensional data into one or more clusters. Each of the one or more clusters includes a cluster center and a cluster membership. The cluster membership includes an index of one or more cluster members of the cluster. The method further includes performing, for each of the one or more clusters, a subspace projection technique to generate, for each of the cluster members of the cluster, one or more projection coefficients for the cluster member.
