Abstract: A polymerizable pre-adhesive composition includes packaging material and a packaged pre-adhesive reactive mixture sealed within the packaging material. The packaging material includes: a semicrystalline polylactic acid (PLA); a polyvinyl acetate (PVAc); and a plasticizer; wherein the PLA/PVAc-containing packaging material has a single Tg of less than 25° C. and a normalized Haze value of less than 10% per 25 microns.

Abstract: Presently described are methods of preparing a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising providing a non-aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive comprising a (meth)acrylic copolymer comprising epoxy-functional groups; adding a chlorinated triazine crosslinker to the pressure sensitive adhesive; and coating the pressure sensitive adhesive onto a substrate. In some embodiments, the method may further comprise contacting the pressure sensitive adhesive to a second substrate. The method further comprises exposing the pressure sensitive adhesive to actinic radiation to crosslink the epoxy-functional groups by means of the triazine crosslinker. The step of exposing can occur at the time of manufacture (e.g. of a pressure sensitive adhesive coated articles such as a tape) or at the time of use. Also described are non-aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive compositions and adhesive-coated articles.

Abstract: Hot melt processable composition mixtures include an acid-functional (meth)acrylate-based adhesive composition and a zinc di-(meth)acrylate salt. The adhesive composition has a hot melt processing temperature, and the zinc salt has a melting point that is higher than the hot melt processing temperature of the adhesive composition. The mixture is hot melt processable, and upon application to a substrate, the mixture forms an ionically crosslinked layer with thermally reversable ionic crosslinks.

Abstract: Modified adhesive layers are prepared by contacting an adhesive layer to a modified microstructured release liner. The modified release liner has a release layer surface with a set of microstructured depressions and a discontinuous pattern of ink material located on the surface of the release layer. A portion of the discontinuous pattern of ink material overlaps with and is located within some of the depressions. The ink material comprises a non-adhesive but adhesively transferrable material, or an adhesive material. Upon removal of the adhesive from the release liner, the ink material transfers to the adhesive surface.
