Abstract:
A pump for pumping fluid, wherein the pump includes a working chamber, a piston assembly configured for reciprocating within the working chamber to thereby displace fluid, a piston actuator being rigidly assembled with the piston assembly at least in a working mode of the pump to thereby transmit drive energy to the piston assembly to reciprocate along a common rigid axis of the piston-actuator-assembly, and a bearing arrangement bearing the piston assembly and the piston actuator in the pump so that the piston-actuator-assembly provided by the piston assembly and the piston actuator is capable of performing a pendulum-type compensation motion around a pendulum point at the piston actuator on the common rigid axis.
Abstract:
A fitting for coupling a capillary to another component of a fluidic device is disclosed. The fitting includes a ferrule configured for enclosing a front part of the capillary and for contributing to a fluidic sealing between the fitting and the other component; a ferrule chuck configured for enclosing a back part of the capillary; and a housing configured for accommodating at least a part of the ferrule chuck and for pushing the ferrule chuck against the ferrule.
Abstract:
A pump for pumping fluid, wherein the pump comprises a pump head comprising a working chamber, a piston assembly configured for reciprocating within the working chamber to thereby displace fluid, a pump base accommodating a piston actuator being mechanically lockable to the piston assembly in a working mode of the pump to thereby transmit drive energy to the piston assembly to reciprocate, and a locking/unlocking mechanism configured to, upon unfastening the pump head from the pump base, mechanically unlock the piston actuator from the piston assembly in a maintenance mode of the pump.
Abstract:
A system for pumping liquid under high pressure includes a housing and a high pressure seal. The housing houses a pump assembly and a chamber assembly that includes a chamber for containing high pressure liquid. The seal separates high pressure area in the chamber assembly from low pressure area in the pump assembly. The seal includes a seal opening that receives a piston that moves axially to increase pressure on the liquid in the chamber; an active sealing area adjacent the chamber; a compressible sealing area adjacent the active sealing area; and a connection channel formed through the compressible sealing area between the seal opening and a leakage space formed between the housing and the high pressure seal. The connection channel conducts the liquid, leaked into the leakage space from the chamber, from the leakage space to the seal opening during operation of the piston, providing lubrication for the piston.

Abstract:
A fluid pump for pumping fluid in a sample separation device includes a pump body device, a piston arranged for conveying fluid in a reciprocable manner in the pump body device, a seal arranged fluid-sealingly in contact with and between the pump body device and the piston, and a supporting body, which is coupled to the seal for supporting the latter. The supporting body is arranged at the pump body device, thereby forming a bearing for the piston.
