Abstract: A light device comprised of an ultraviolet light source and an additional light source; wherein the additional light source is selected from the group consisting of a white light fluorescent and incandescent light; and a related system for sterilizing and cleansing a surface comprising the light device and a switch selected from the group consisting of infrared, movement, electric eye, manual, contact switches, auto or semi-automatic, hard wired, pre- and after market versions; wherein the switch controls the activation and deactivation of the ultraviolet light source and the additional light source such that they are not both on at the same time.
