    Abstract: A tiled display which allows removal of display tiles in a controlled manner as well as access to the back of a display tile of the tiled display without having necessarily an opening in the display tile through which a tool to trigger a release mechanism would have to be inserted. Some of the display tiles can have at least one cylindrical element fastened to the display tile by an intermediary of a fastener positioned at one end of the cylindrical element. The cylindrical element is fixed to such tiles with the fastener. An actuator is provided to pull in the display tile to fit within the plane of the tiled display by activating a non-contact sensor with a dedicated non-contact device in a vicinity of the display tile until the tile slides in. The non-contact device emits a control signal received by the non-contact sensor.

    Abstract: An intermediary support structure that includes a linear or rotational actuator to move the single display tile from a first position in a first plane along a predetermined path to a second position in the first plane. The first position is a loading position of the single display tile in the tiled display and the second position is a position in which the single display tile lies when installed in its operative position in the tiled display. When the single display tile is located in the first position, there is a distance between the loading position and the operative position, the linear or rotational actuator is configured so that the distance becomes smaller as the single display tile is moved along the predetermined path towards the second position. The linear or rotational actuator is accessible and remains accessible until an adjacent display tile is covering an access to the actuator.

    Abstract: A system and method for providing an acoustically transparent imaging display include a substrate with light sources on one side and perforations having a first visible optical reflectance, the perforations extending perpendicularly to the display surface and being disposed between the light sources. The side of the substrate opposing the light sources faces a black surface of an enclosure.
    A layer having a second visible optical reflectance is disposed on the substrate on the side of the light sources. The layer has an acoustical transparency attenuation of at most −10 dB, and when in normal light conditions the difference between the visible optical reflectance of the layer and that of the perforations is lower than the difference between visible optical reflectance of the substrate and that of the perforation.

In a maintenance state at least one of the plurality of display tiles is released from the support structure at at least the first edge and the at least one of the plurality of display tiles then having a second shape modified compared to the first shape and providing an opening between the first edge and the support structure.
