Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for the purification of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). The HMOs can be purified from a suspension containing one or more of a bacterial biomass, cell fragments, small particles, and biomolecules. Advantageously, the solution can be pre-treated prior to centrifuging to form a clarified supernatant containing purified HMOs.
