Abstract: The present disclosure arranges a pair of friction stir welding tools including probes and fixed shoulders at corner portions between a first workpiece and a second workpiece. The friction stir welding tools are arranged so that regions where the probes are embedded in the respective the corner portions and stirred are positioned symmetrically with respect to the second workpiece. With this arrangement of the friction stir welding tools, the corner portions are friction stir welded simultaneously.

Abstract: A welding method of a diffusion bonded structure in which the diffusion bonded structure formed by diffusion bonding metal parts to each other is bonded to another part by fusion welding includes a buffer layer forming step of forming a buffer layer in a welding region including a diffusion bonded joint of the diffusion bonded structure, the buffer layer having greater ductility than the diffusion bonded joint, and a welding step of bonding the welding region in which the buffer layer is formed to the another part by performing the fusion welding from above the buffer layer.

Abstract: A friction stir welding device includes a friction stir welding tool equipped with a fixed shoulder on an outer periphery of a probe on a proximal end side, a main shaft positioning mechanism which relatively moves the friction stir welding tool with respect to a corner portion between workpieces a control device thereof, and a filler supply unit which supplies a filler to a stirring region in which the workpieces are stirred by the probe at the time of friction stir welding. When the probe is immersed into the corner portion to perform the friction stir welding, the fixed shoulder is maintained at a position separated by a gap from the surfaces of the workpieces with the control device.

Abstract: In the present disclosure, friction stir welding tools having probes and stationary shoulders are disposed at corners between a first workpiece and a second workpiece. A welding device main body includes axially perpendicular movement units for moving spindle units, which hold the respective friction stir welding tools on a frame, in directions perpendicular to rotary shafts of probes, and axial movement units for moving the spindle units in directions parallel to the rotary shafts of the probes.
