    Abstract: To mitigate a bending stress in the flexible wiring substrate in a structure, a display panel, to which the flexible wiring substrate connects, is curved along a first direction, and the flexible wiring is bent back to the rear of the display panel. The flexible wiring substrate connects with the display panel at a first region and at a second region; the flexible wiring substrate connects with the wiring substrate at a third region and at a fourth region. The flexible wiring substrate has a narrowest width in the first direction at an intermediate region between the display panel and the wiring substrate. A first wiring group in the flexible wiring substrate connects the first region with the third region or the fourth region, a second wiring group in the flexible wiring substrate connects the second region with another one of the third region or the fourth region.

    Abstract: In a display apparatus in which a liquid crystal panel is arranged on a protective plate curved to have a large curvature at an end, color unevenness of displayed images is suppressed. The display apparatus includes: a light-transmitting protective plate; a light-transmitting adhesive layer arranged on a rear surface of the protective plate; and a liquid crystal panel adhered to the protective plate through the light-transmitting adhesive layer. The protective plate is formed such that an end is curved to have a larger curvature than a curvature of a center and such that the end includes a region where a curvature of a rear surface is smaller than a curvature of a front surface. The liquid crystal panel is arranged to continuously cover at least a part of the center and the region of the end in the protective plate.

    Abstract: Provided is a mounting structure for a transparent liquid crystal display device that is placed in a glass window in which a periphery of a first glass plate is accommodated in and held by a first frame member. In the mounting structure, the transparent liquid crystal display device is affixed to the first glass plate by a transparent adhesive sheet and has a display region and a terminal region. The terminal region is accommodated in the first frame member, and a light source including an LED and a driver IC are placed in the terminal region. A heat conduction sheet is placed between the light source and the driver IC on one hand and the first frame member on the other hand and is acted upon by pressure by which the heat conduction sheet is pressed against the light source and the driver IC.
