Abstract:
An electrostatic-writing mechanism for an image-formation device having an optical photoconductor (OPC) mechanism of one embodiment of the invention is disclosed that includes a light source and an array of micromirror devices. The light source is to emit light. The array of micromirror devices is to selectively direct the light onto the OPC mechanism in accordance with a portion of an image.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a fiber optic media thickness sensor used in a print media or document processing device. The invention is further directed to a method for measuring media thickness in a media processing device using a fiber optic sensor.
Abstract:
Described herein is a material moving apparatus having a chamber that includes a chamber having a cross-sectional shape and a discharge opening; a pumping ram mounted in the chamber configured to move material out of the discharge opening of the chamber; and a discharge pipe connected to the discharge opening of the pump and having and an inlet and an outlet and a cross-sectional shape corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the discharge opening.
Abstract:
A media feed system includes a roller and a selectively adjustable biasing system operatively connected to the roller, wherein the adjustable biasing system includes a spring coupled to an adjustable mount, the mount being movable to compress or decompress the spring.
Abstract:
A balance shaft seal retainer is provided having a cut out formed therein. The balance shaft seal retainer further includes at least one aperture formed therein. At least one bolt is included for being situated within the aperture of the retainer and screwably coupled within a threaded bore of an engine whereby the square cut out encompasses a balance shaft seal thereby precluding the inadvertent removal of the same.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and assemblies are provided for focusing light on a photoconductor. In one embodiment, an exposure assembly is provided. The exposure assembly includes an array of light-focusing structures. The light-focusing structures include a plurality of lenses. The individual lenses include a material that is deformable sufficient to focus light upon a photoconductor.
Abstract:
A grasping apparatus and method wherein the apparatus includes a sleeve with a shaft therein and a clamping member on one or both ends of the sleeve for opening and closing. A locking member is positioned on the sleeve for locking the sleeve to the shaft. When unlocked, movement of the shaft within the sleeve or the sleeve along the shaft actuates movement of the clamping member.
