Abstract: An electrical terminal assembly includes a contact member that has a contact base. Contact arms extend from the contact base in an arm direction on opposite sides of a terminal plane. A connection portion extends from the contact base and includes a connection surface. A mount hole that extends through the connection portion and the connection surface. The electrical terminal assembly also includes a spring member supported on the contact member and including a spring base. Spring arms extend from the spring base on opposite sides of the terminal plane. The spring arms extend into engagement with the contact arms at respective spring contacts. A shroud is connected to the spring base and extends around the contact arms and beyond the contact arms in the arm direction.

Abstract: A connector assembly includes a connector housing that defines a terminal cavity that extends along a cavity axis. A terminal lock is adapted to retain an electric terminal in the terminal cavity in an installed position. The terminal lock includes a lock arm that extends from the connector housing and a lock tab that extends from the lock arm into the terminal cavity. The connector assembly also includes a terminal position assurance that is attached to the connector housing for relative movement between a pre-lock position and a lock position. When the terminal position assurance is in the lock position, it limits movement of the terminal lock away from the cavity axis and it limits movement of the terminal lock toward the cavity axis.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an electrical connector housing and a lever that is movable relative to the electrical connector housing between a pre-mate position and a final position. The electrical connector includes a lock with a catch that is movable relative to the lever between an open position and a closed position. The catch retains in the lever in the final position when the catch is in the closed position. The catch can be moved in a forward direction relative to the lever to allow the lever to move from the closed position to the open position. The catch moves in a reverse direction relative to the lever when the lever is moved toward the pre-mate position when the catch is in the closed position.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is movable relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a lever that is mounted on the first housing for relative rotational movement between a pre-stage position and a final position. The lever engages the second housing to move the second housing linearly between a pre-stage position and a seated position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a lock that retains the lever in the final position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector also includes a connector position assurance. The connector position assurance is mounted on the first housing for relative movement between an initial position and an assurance position. When the lever is in the final position and the connector position assurance is in the assurance position, the connector position assurance engages the lever and prevents the lever from being moved away from the final position.

Abstract: An electric vehicle charging system in described that includes an electrical energy source that includes a base with a plurality of electrical signal connectors to receive a first electrical signal, a second electrical signal and a ground signal, an adapter having a plurality of outlet connectors configured to electrically connect to at least some of the plurality of electrical signal connectors, wherein the adapter can be placed in a plurality of positions on the base to correctly orient the base to any of plurality of outlet connector orientations, and a locking ring adapted to engage the base to removable fix the adapter to the base in one of the four positions. The system can include a thermistor assembly to sense thermal energy in the source and if thermal energy exceeds a threshold to output a signal. The system can include a charging cord for an electric vehicle having a proper orientation when engaging the source, wherein the adapter is in a correct orientation with the base being in the proper orientation when connected to the socket-outlet.
