Abstract: A lighting device for mounting on a mounting surface may include: a planar solid state lighting module having a light emitting region and peripheral holes for fixing members to the mounting surface to extend therethrough, a peripheral gasket extending along the periphery of the lighting module; the gasket having, at the holes of the lighting module, ear-like extensions having a perforation therein, said ear-like extensions extending inwardly of the gasket to align the perforations therein with the holes in the lighting module, a housing which frames the lighting device with the gasket applied onto the lighting module. The housing has apertures aligned with the holes in the lighting module and the perforations in the ear-like extensions of the gasket, as well as a window to expose the light emitting region of the lighting module, with a light permeable screen which sealingly closes said window.

Abstract: Lighting devices, and methods of manufacturing the same, are provided. A lighting device includes a cover through which emitted light passes and a formed flexible light engine. The formed flexible light engine is placed within a housing, or serves as the housing itself. An interface couples to cover to the housing or the formed flexible light engine. The formed flexible light engine includes a flexible substrate and a plurality of solid state light sources located thereon. The plurality of solid state light sources are configured to emit light through the cover. The formed light engine has a defined shape created during the forming process. This enables placement on the housing within the lighting device, or contributes to the overall shape of the lighting device.

Abstract: A lighting device comprises a housing carrying a linear array of light radiation sources and one or more elongated diffusive screens arranged facing the array of light sources so as to be passed through by the light radiation. The screen or screens have a pattern of geometric features for producing a radiation pattern of the light radiation emitted by the lighting device as a result of passing through the diffusive screen or screens. By replacing the diffusive screen or screens with screens which have a different pattern of geometric features it is possible to vary the radiation pattern of the light radiation emitted by the lighting device.
