Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may receive one or more service data units (SDUs) at a layer two (L2) layer of the transmitting device. The transmitting device may encode, at the L2 layer, the one or more SDUs according to one or more network coding parameters to obtain at least one encoded protocol data unit (PDU), the one or more network coding parameters comprising a rateless code. The transmitting device may generate, for the at least one encoded PDU, at least one corresponding PDU header. The transmitting device may output the at least one encoded PDU and the at least one corresponding PDU header from the L2 layer to a lower layer of the transmitting device for transmission to one or more receiving devices.

A user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) comprising a grant scheduling a data transmission for the UE, the data transmission associated with a rateless coding scheme. The UE may determine to disable feedback information for the data transmission based at least in part on the rateless coding scheme and one or more of: the DCI, a resource associated with the DCI, or a semi-persistent scheduling configuration associated with the data transmission. The UE may perform or monitor for the data transmission according to the DCI and the rateless coding scheme. The UE may perform or monitor for the feedback information for the data transmission according to the determining.

Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosure, a method of wireless communication performed by a receiving device includes receiving, from a transmitting device, a plurality of encoded packets each including at least one respective physical (PHY) layer symbol. The method includes decoding the plurality of encoded packets based on a raptor code to generate received data. The method also includes determining a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) associated with receiving the plurality of encoded packets, receiving an indication from the transmitting device, or determining a channel quality indicator (CQI) or a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) associated with receiving the plurality of encoded packets. The method further includes adaptively determining a PHY packet error rate associated with the plurality of encoded packets based on the SINR, the indication, the CQI, or the MCS. Abstract: Port selection codebook enhancements are disclosed for spatial and frequency domain density (FDD) reciprocity. A base station may generate and signal a channel state information (CSI) report configuration including configuration of multiple CSI-reference signal (CSI-RS) port groups, wherein each group includes one or more CSI-RS ports, and each group is associated with one or more codebook subset restrictions (CBSRs). Using the configured restrictions of the CBSRs, served user equipments (UEs) may determine linear combination coefficient feedback based on channel measurements of selected port groups and signals the feedback to the base station. Once the base station receives the feedback it may then determine a hybrid CSI-RS codebook using both the configured CSI-RS port groups and the linear combination coefficients. The base station may then transmit downlink data encoded with a precoding matrix selected from the codebook. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

An encoding device may encode a set of source symbols using one or more raptor codes to generate a first set of encoded symbols and may transmit the first set of encoded symbols to a decoding device. The decoding device may successfully recover a source symbol of the set of source symbols from the first set of encoded symbols and may transmit an indication of the source symbol to the encoding device. The encoding device may encode one or more source symbols of the set of source symbols using the one or more raptor codes to generate a second set of encoded symbols based on receiving the indication of the source symbol and may transmit the second set of encoded symbols to the decoding device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit an encoded transmission via a broadcast to multiple user equipment (UE). Subsequently, the multiple UEs may transmit assistance information to the base station based on attempting to decode the broadcasted encoded transmission. If the decoding is unsuccessful for at least one UE, the base station may then transmit an additional encoded transmission via a unicast or multicast message to the UEs that were unsuccessful. Additionally, the base station may transmit configuration information for the multiple UEs to receive the encoded transmissions and to transmit the assistance information. For example, the configuration information may include portion information for how long the encoded transmission is transmitted via the broadcast, via the unicast, when to transmit the assistance information, etc. In some cases, the configuration information may be based on UE metrics of the multiple UEs.

A wireless transmission device may determine a sequence of amplitude symbols from a sequence of information bits using a distribution matcher (DM) configured for probabilistic amplitude shaping. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) configured to receive a downlink in a network configured for full duplex communication. The UE receives from the network an indication of a maximum rank of an uplink from an interfering, aggressor UE. The UE measures interference of a signal from the aggressor UE, and based on the measurement, determines one or more rank values for the aggressor UE, less than or equal to the maximum rank. The UE may further determine one or more channel parameters for downlink transmissions the UE receives, corresponding to the determined rank values. The UE then transmits a channel state information (CSI) report that includes an indication of at least one of the one or more rank values for the aggressor UE. The CSI report may further include the determined channel parameters. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
