Abstract: A heated hose for passage of a free-flowing medium, for example for the passage of a hot-melt adhesive. Abstract: A sealing arrangement having a rod seal for sealing a cavity for a flowable medium in the region of a rod includes an output apparatus for discharging the flowable medium. The rod is movably supported in a housing to be displaced in an axial direction. The housing has a bearing portion, wherein the rod seal is supported in a fixed manner and wherein the rod extends through the bearing portion and the rod seal so that a first rod portion and a second rod portion are arranged at different sides of the bearing portion. The first rod portion is located at a side facing the cavity and the second rod portion is located at a side facing away from the cavity. The rod seal is arranged at the side of the bearing portion facing the first rod portion and has a first sealing lip and a second sealing lip that are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction and circumferentially contact the rod. The bearing portion facing the cavity has a discharge structure having a support face which circumferentially surrounds the rod. The rod seal is in abutment with the support face and the support face has a diameter which increases in the direction of the second rod portion.

Abstract: A device for applying a flowable substance to at least one substrate includes an applicator nozzle in the form of a slotted nozzle which has a stationary nozzle body with an inlet opening, a flow duct, and a nozzle slot, wherein the flowable substance is delivered through the applicator nozzle and passes from the inlet opening into the flow duct and from there to the nozzle slot, and is discharged through an outlet opening of the nozzle slot that is arranged in an outer region of the nozzle body, wherein the applicator nozzle further has a slide valve movable relative to the nozzle body in the longitudinal extent of the outlet opening and contacts the outer region of the nozzle body for modifying the covering of the outlet opening. The longitudinal extent of the flow duct is at least as great as the longitudinal extent of the nozzle slot.

Abstract: A device for intermittently applying a flowable substance to a substrate includes an applicator nozzle for applying the flowable substance to the substrate, a tank for holding the flowable substance, a pump for delivering the substance, and a drive means, wherein the pump is actively connected to the tank and driven by drive means, and further including an actuator actively connected to the pump and transferred into two positions, in a first position the actuator conducts the substance to the applicator nozzle, and in a second position blocks the feed to the applicator nozzle, and further including a control device for activating the actuator and for regulating the speed of the drive means of the pump. A method for applying the substance using the device is also provided.
