Abstract:
A process for oligomerization of ethylene, comprising subjecting a catalyst composition to a gas phase of ethylene and conducting an oligomerization, wherein the catalyst composition comprises (a) a chromium compound, (b) a metalated ligand, and (c) an activator or cocatalyst; and catalyst composition as well as a metalated ligand.
Abstract:
A pre-formation unit, includes: a first vessel comprising a solution of co-catalyst and modifier; a second vessel comprising chromium compound and ligand; wherein the first and second vessel are connected via lines to a mixing unit, wherein each line has a flow control valve; wherein the mixing unit is connected via a line having a flow control valve to an oligomerization reactor; wherein gas inlets are each connected to the first vessel and to the second vessel, and wherein a portion of each of the first vessel, the second vessel, the mixing unit, and the flow control valves are within a temperature controlled enclosure.
Abstract:
A solar energy based continuous process and reactor system for the production of an alkene by dehydrogenation of the corresponding alkane is performed in a reactor which process comprises alternatingly performing a first mode and a second mode in the same reactor, wherein the first mode is a non-oxidative dehydrogenation wherein the non-oxidative dehydrogenation is performed by contacting the alkane with a suitable dehydrogenation catalyst at a temperature of at least 500° C. to produce the corresponding alkene and hydrogen and wherein the second mode is an oxidative dehydrogenation wherein the oxidative dehydrogenation is performed by contacting the alkane with a suitable dehydrogenation catalyst and an oxidation agent at a temperature from 300 to 500° C. to produce the corresponding alkene wherein the dehydrogenation catalyst for the oxidative dehydrogenation and the non-oxidative dehydrogenation are the same, wherein the heat for the first mode is provided by a solar energy source.
Abstract:
A method for purifying a crude PNPNH compound of the general structure R1R2P—N(R3)—P(R4)—N(R5)—H wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are independently halogen, amino, trimethylsilyl, C1-C10-alkyl, substituted C1-C10-alkyl, C6-C20-aryl and substituted C6-C20-aryl, or any cyclic derivative wherein at least one of the P or N atoms of the PNPN—H structure is a member of a ring system, the ring system being formed from one or more constituent compounds of the PNPNH-structure by substitution, the method comprising the steps: A. a) dissolving the crude PNPNH-compound in a C1-C10 alcohol or mixture thereof under heating; b) cooling the solution obtained in step a), c) precipitating the PNPNH compound, separating and optionally drying, or B. (i) washing the crude PNPNH compound with C1-C10 alcohol or a mixture thereof, (ii) separating the PNPNH compound and optionally drying thereof.
