    Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods and systems for coding video. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a multi-view video bitstream that includes a first block in a first frame corresponding to a first view and a second block in a second frame corresponding to a second view. The method identifies a first set of reference frames in the first view for the first block. The method obtains motion vectors corresponding to a second set of reference frames in the second view for the second block. In accordance with a determination that the first set of reference frames share a display time with the second set of reference frames, the method derives a motion vector predictor (MVP) for the first block corresponding to the first view using the set of motion vectors corresponding to the second view, and decodes the first block using the derived MVP.

In one aspect, a method includes receiving a video bitstream comprising a set of encoded video information and a first indicator associated with a plurality of probability models. The method includes determining a value of the first indicator by parsing the video bitstream. The method includes, when the first indicator has a first value, selecting a first probability model from the plurality of probability models and when the first indicator has a second value, selecting a second probability model from the plurality of probability models, the second probability model being different from the first probability model. The method also includes entropy decoding the set of encoded video information using the selected probability model.

    Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods and systems for coding video. In one aspect, a video bitstream includes a current coding block of an image frame and includes a cross-component intra prediction mode. A computing system identifies a sample of the first color component and a sample of the second color component co-located with the sample of the first color component. At least two adjacent samples of the second color component are identified, and a location of each adjacent sample is identified by a horizontal delta coordinate value or a vertical delta coordinate value with respect to the sample of the second color component. The computing system generates the sample of the first color component based on the at least two adjacent samples of the second color component, and reconstructs the current coding block based at least on the generated sample of the first color component.

    Abstract: Disclosed are methods, apparatus, and computer-readable storage medium for entropy/decoding contexts for intra prediction modes in video encoding/decoding. An example method includes receiving a video bitstream that includes a current block and deriving a first context used to entropy encode a set index based on coded information. The coded information comprises at least one of: information of the current block, and mode information of at least one neighboring block of the current block. The method further includes deriving a second context used to entropy encode a mode index for the current block based on the coded information, entropy decoding the set index according to the first context, and entropy decoding the mode index according to the second context. The method also includes determining the intra prediction mode for the current block based on the set index and the mode index.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes aspects of advanced video coding technologies and is particular related to cross-component sample offset (CCSO) filtering of reconstructed samples. For example, a quantizer for quantizing sample deltas in order to apply a CCSO filter may be constructed as an asymmetric quantizer with respect to zero sample delta. Either a symmetric or an asymmetric quantizer may be selected for processing sample deltas prior to applying a CCSO filter. An asymmetric quantizer may relate to a corresponding symmetric quantizer by a non-zero offset. Signaling of a selection of an asymmetric quantizer may be provided separately from or dependent on a signaling of a symmetric quantizer.

    Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods and systems for coding video. In one aspect, a video bitstream includes a current coding block of an image frame and a syntax element for a cross-component intra prediction (CCIP) mode. The CCIP mode indicates whether each chroma sample of the current coding block is determined based on one or more luma samples. An electronic device generates a plurality of hypothesis values to be used in predicting a first chroma sample by combining a plurality of neighboring luma samples of a first luma sample that is co-located with the first chroma sample using a plurality of coefficients. The first chroma sample is predicted by combining the first luma sample and the plurality of hypothesis values based on a plurality of weighing factors. The electronic device reconstructs the current coding block including the first chroma sample.
